Jerry18 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 This girl asked me out for dinner. I said yes because I'm going to eat out anyway. I just want to make sure that unless we both agree it's a date then it's not right? It is only a date if both people use the word "date"?
boogieboy Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Just ask her if its a date. If she says no, dont waste your time.
LostInLA Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Agreed, just ask her if this constitutes a date.
SoulSearch_CO Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Just ask her if its a date. If she says no, dont waste your time. I garnered from the tone of his post that he doesn't WANT it to be a date. But I could be wrong. OP - I agree, ASK her if it's a date. Otherwise, she could very easily assume that it is. Both parties do not have to use the word "date." Sounds like a game.
justwantlove Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I say just let it be what it is, two people going out to eat. Dont send any signals that you wouldnt want her to see in you if your not interested and if she's throwing little signals you can choose not to notice or lightly redirect them. If it gets seriouse enough that you need to ask if she thinks its a date then do and take the lead from there.
