jennifer4 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 The mm and I still email occassionally. NC didn't work. I broke it and he was glad. I'm seeing the 24 yr old and almost broke it off with him but we got back together. The mm is going through some bad family stuff right now and I was his there to listen. That's it, through email. I can maintain a distance and still be friends. A bit of news. I found a former classmate on FB. We met in middle school, he'd pick on me, I was an easy target LOL. I often thought of him but he lives in another state, never saw him. Well we started chatting, he tells me that he is happy with his marriage and would never leave the wife but wants more! Obviously because of distance and me not wanting to that wont happen but WHAT? I think he's a nice guy and would like a friendship but what the heck is it with men? The mm here says he isn't happy but doesn't want a divorce because of the kids and this other man is saying he is happy but wants more! Why me? LOL
bentnotbroken Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Could it be you because you keep responding by "being friends" even when you know what the true intent is, instead of walking away?
Author jennifer4 Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 with the mm from another state we just started talking. Basically catching up. Not sure how long that's gonna last. It's only been 2 days. The other one I think will be a friend for awhile. I was basically just updating that situation. I am seeing the 24 yr old and the mm knows that. We email and that is it.
whichwayisup Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Why you? Because you're putting energy into someone (both MM and the guy from your past) who isn't available. WHAT is the point of befriending these men who are married? Sorry Jen, you're fooling yourself about the so called innocent email friendship with the MM. You have feelings for him and as long as he's around this new guy, the 24 year old, doesn't have a shot with you. Your MM has roped you back in, helping him with his 'hard times' is pure manipulation on his behalf. It's a tactic to keep you in his life, even though it's through email, which you opened the door again by breaking NC. He KNOWS that you're weak. You implimented NC and you broke it - To him, your word means NOTHING as you didn't back the NC up with actions..
