redant Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I have a friend who has a great bf. They live together. Lately farting has been an issue. He will fart as they are going to bed and he thinks it's funny. She is not used to that. She will get perterbed an get up and sleep somewhere else because she wants to sleep and not hear or smell ew I know, farts! He tells her she is being aggressive with him by gettin angry and leaving abruptly. Also he them becomes cold or angry or hurt because she reacts that way. She's at aloss to what could be a solution! Anyone here have an idea?
Soul Bear Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Get her to trap him under the duvet and fart right back.. Hell hath no fury like a womans fart...
Author redant Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Haha very funny. She says she's no competition for him unfortunately!!
justforfun Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Dump him? I hate bodily functions so I'm with her on this one.
Author redant Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 Dump him over farting? Hmm. She also said that he gets upset cuz she gets so mad and looks at him with such anger and makes him feel bad.

NewSmyrnaBeach Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I kind of respect his fortitude. He isn't giving up on his farts because they won't give up on him. Hats off to him for having his girl leave the room and the very next night saying "this is something worth fighting for...game on..."
Devil Inside Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 So is it that he thinks that it is funny that is the issue?
Author redant Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 No the issue is that she makes him feel bad. The way she looks at him and talks to him before she leaves to get fart free rest. If he waited for her to go to sleep maybe wouldn't be such a problem.

If he waited for her to go to sleep maybe wouldn't be such a problem. Maybe for him this is a test of sorts. If she will have this strong reaction over farts then maybe he is concerned that she will be cold and withdrawing with other more serious matters. As an aside...what is up with him? He can't possibly think that it is a pleasant experience to go to bed in a room with someone that is farting. It sounds like it happens at a routine interval...so maybe he can just go outside or to the bathroom before bed and...um...deflate.
Bejita463 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 While that is an immature thing to do, that is an equally immature reaction to it.
Author redant Posted October 25, 2009 Author Posted October 25, 2009 I cAn see that DI. Possibly a test. But jus may be her way which might be hard to change!
Devil Inside Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I cAn see that DI. Possibly a test. But jus may be her way which might be hard to change! I agree with Bejita...they are both being immature. It is like a fart stand off. One of them is going to have to be the bigger person and just give in already. I mean he should be able to acknowledge that it is gross, and she that she over reacted. How sad would it be if they broke up over this. I also have another question...is this really about a "friend?"
BookerT Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Wtf....... What's the big deal here? Get him to go to the toilet before bed with a newspaper and magzine, and finish farting before climbing in bed. Problem solved......... I'm the only mature person on this thread!
Bejita463 Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I'm the only mature person on this thread! Are you now. How's that working out for you.
Devil Inside Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Are you now. How's that working out for you.:laugh:....You clown...that was the perfect immature humor this post needed. Thanks for the laugh.
Soul Bear Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 I still think she should do it back, then laugh at him and see what he does... When I got 'really comfortable' in my last relationship I always thought it was funny farting. (except in the bedroom of course) I stopped when she started doing it...I saw how unattractive and not funny it was!! It's a kin to smelling your own fart...you never mind the smell, but if its someone elses...yuck. Guys are the same, they will find it funny until it's obvious she's one stop away from a number two... This is about 3 years ago, but still, It really does work. I have not done anything like that again to this day. Just tell her to relax and go all-out one night. He will stop...

Anyone here have an idea? Clearly the man has no clue what "aggressive" means. But the answer is the same one as always: Just withhold sex until his behavior is modified sufficiently. (but she couldn't figure that out without enlisting a 'friend' to help???)
threebyfate Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 redant, how old are these two, how long have they been together and how long have they been living together? I ask these questions since my response will vary, reliant on responses.
