Art_Critic Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Denmark has had same sex marriage legalized since 1989; this could indicate that the country just doesn't have the same hang-ups that other countriesm or it could indicate a more laid back feeling towards homo and bisexuality. The Dane cultural aspect is something that might come into play here and should be considered.. I really hadn't thought about the cultural side of it and was mainly focused on the guy side of things.. We are all products of our environments and if Denmark is more understanding and has less hangups about same sex coupling then even straight men would have been affected by that more laid back feeling about those types of things.. Interesting point..
Lucky_One Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 After this post, I actually went and read about homosexual history in Denmark, and they are very tolerant of sexual and gender rights. I think they decriminalized homosexuality in 1933 (second country in the world) and were the first country to legalize gay marriage in 1989. Very very laid-back folks, I think.

I did the same research as well! You guys are great! I feel less worried, but still I think I'll ask him, because if the Danes are that open minded, I don't think he will get upset with me asking him! Maybe he will laugh or in the worst scenario I'll get the truth! Something that is worth to mention is that he has two kids from a previous relationship. But, still, I've found that, that relationship was a little bit open minded for my taste! (they were not a couple any more when they decided to have a second baby, I found that a little bit odd) She is Norwegian, then maybe they share similar cultural backgrounds/beliefs...
Art_Critic Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Soulmind.. one thing is for sure.. Until you reassure yourself of everything make sure you do not have unprotected sex with him. I had a friend many years ago that married a man she did not know was gay and he died of aids from his hidden relationship.. It destroyed her.. I'm not saying he is have a hidden relationship at all.. I'm saying that untill you understand that he is committed to you then you need to protect yourself.
