Mkay, I posted a thing with Chris Pine and other celebrity guys and types of guys that girls like...

...the problem is that I think I'm getting slightly obsessed. I think about this actor a lot and it's starting to weird me out.

I was never the kind of girl who put posters of guys on her wall, or was interested in Hollywood or celebrities or anything like that. I AM sort of a trekker, so I was excited about the movie that was coming out and went and saw it. I ended up seeing it three times and loved it, and started looking up interviews of the actors for the Hell of it.

This Chris Pine guy was really sweet and funny! I wasn't even oogling him in the movie, but there's something about the actor that is really attractive. I guess from the interviews I see a lot of myself in him, like he used to have really bad acne scars like me (got lazer resurfacing...I'm scarface no more) and read the same books I did, is the same sort of workaholic, etc. I just found myself watching every interview I could find, and little hearts floated over my head.

I ended up thinking about him a lot - what he was doing, what his mood was, what he would think if he met me and hung out at the same places I did. I imagine weird things like I'm stuck in a bus that's about to go off a cliff and he's trying to save me...or I'm a billionaire videogame tycoon (I'm a game designer in real life) and he meets me and falls in love...you know, awesome stuff. But then I also get kind of sad because I know something like that would never happen, and it's wasted brain energy. It's kind of like if you carried a torch for a senior in highschool that you never talked to and he/she never talked to you, except times a hundred. :(

I'm afraid of meeting him at a premier or a convention, because I would be so sad if he just ducked away and didn't shake my hand or something. This is really embarrassing to admit, but I want to stop being a weirdo so I can have hearts over my head for a REAL guy. I'm a normal girl in every other way except my stupid crush on someone who will never know I exist.

What should I do?

No you're not nuts. ...Yet [just kidding];). You're just slightly obsessive i'll say.

I'm not a star trek fan by a long shot (just don't mention Westley Crusher). The movie was good though. I remember when the X files was on, i had a huge crush on Gillian Anderson and a mad obsession with the series. It was what everyone in school were talking about too.

Yes like you, i would fantasize about it as if i was one of the FBI special agents with the team solving strange cases or imagine stupid situations where i could some how rescue her etc.

Some times i even get a hard on when agent Scully appeared on screen, soooo embarrassing when watching the series with the family (i'm sure they knew). "Hey [odyssey] mind closing the door, there's a draft coming in?"..."uhh...i can't"..."But you're the nearest"..."i can't move right now, i'm watching this"! It's quite funny thinking back now. Eventually i'd grew out of it when i found someone else to 'obsess' about - my then gf.

So i'm sure you'll get over it. Or find someone else to obsess over  You'll be fine.

Well AU, to be perfectly honest, you seem a little old to be crushing on a celeb. I mean, yes, we've ALL done it. I'm a little older, but it used to be that if I even heard the name Raquel Welch, I would get so worked up that my zipper was in danger. But as we get older, most people prefer reality over fantasy. It's Ok to be a fan, but I wouldn't go overboard, if I were you.;)

Raquel Welsh!

Man, everyone is lovin' them some redheads. I think she's beautiful!

But yeah, there seems to be a lot of new movies out there now (Trek, Twilight, Transformers, Every effing superhero movie...) that are designed to make girls melt. I will eventually see them all, as I am a girl. I wont go overboard and get pictures of celebrities and post them on my wall or anything...hahaha!

I'm sorry for posting something outside of the topic discussion but I can't send you a private message.

I think you're smart, emotionally smart, your the type of girl that I would want to talk to.

I wanted to hear your opinion on my thoughts with this girl that I really like, you seem to write what you feel, the topic is called "Attraction | vs | "The One"

If you're in to movies, you should check out The Water Cooler section...plenty off topic banter down there. You never know...you might find another trekkie ;)
