So.

I work at a coffee shop, and there is a girl that I talk to for a little while every time that she comes in. She usually sticks around for at least a few minutes to chat. So last time I saw her at work I asked her if she would like to go out for coffee (somewhere else obviously) sometime, and she responded that she would "love to". So i got her number and all was good. I waited until the following night and i called to try and make plans for the next night. She said that she was already busy but that she would text me about when she was free. This was a little dis-heartening. Although she did text back a few minutes later and apologize for having to get off the phone quickly as she was in the middle of something. I waited two days from then, and recieved no text, so i sent off a simple friendly hey, how are you doing, to try and stay on her radar. Tonight is now one day after I sent that text and I haven't recieved any response. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, it certainly seemed like she was interested saying "i would love to go for coffee" while smiling, to the apologizing text that she sent after the phone call, )plus why would she even offer to text when she was free when she could have just said she was busy and left it at that). Those facts don't really point to the "trying to turn me down easy" approach, but I am confused as to why I havent got a response. I will continue to be (or act like i am) patient and see what happens, I would assume it would come off as pushy to send another text after the last one for the time being. Any thoughts?

Either she's no longer interested in going out with you (for whatever reason) or she's playing games and wants you to chase her. In any even, no need to wreck your brain over this. Just write her off as flake and move on.

hm. well, its certainly possible. but it would seem improbable that she lost interest without even going on a first date yet. given that we have talked a good number of times, seem to have similiar interests, found out we go to the same church, etc, would seem odd that it was over before it started. but i'm a very logical person and girls are not always.. lol.

Maybe there was no interest to begin with. Just because she said she would love to go for coffee doesn't mean she actually meant that. Women are weird like that. Never take what they tell you at face value.

Let that be a lesson to you Appo. Next time you are interested in a woman, make sure that you are CERTAIN that she is interested in you. You should be talking to her for like 20 minutes and she should be inquisitive about you before even thinking about asking her for her number. You didnt make yourself interesting enough for her to bother with you. Thats how you will know that she will gladly accept your call, or even text you often. Alot of women also give you their number to avoid possible confrontation for saying no, then they ignore you. Thats why you have to be sure she likes you before asking.

To me, it sounds like she was interested...in being friends. Once she kinda caught on to what you had in mind, she backed out. Happens.

And Johnny is right, her reaction doesnt neccesarily mean she was interested. I know, makes no sense, but some people prefer to 'not be mean' in person.

Has she come in since you got her number?

Thoughts? If she doesn't call, she doesn't call. Move on.

Some women like to play hard to get. If you want to play the game, keep pursuing, but you might get hurt pretty bad.

Just move on and there is a big chance your path will cross again soon, since there are some places, that you both frequent.

Few women are worth the persuit. If you don't know a woman, she's even less worth the persuit. A woman who wants you to chase her or doesn't respond to you isn't interested in you.
