I have a friend who has recently gotten married and just found out she is pregnant. Well, our mutual friend is acting really strange.

First, a year ago when our friend got engaged she blew the suprise and told her that her fiance was going to propose.

Now, she is going around telling everyone she isn't going to plan a baby shower and she wants nothing to do with it.

Is she really jealous about our friends marriage and pregnancy? I don't understand. I'm happy for our friend, but she is acting miserable.

How very odd. Sounds like this "friend" is no friend at all.

I know. What is her problem? I can't figure it out.

Granted, I'm already married with children but even if I wasn't I'm sure I wouldn't be acting so rudely about my friend's good news.

Just make sure either you or another friend steps into the role of planning the baby shower. Hell, even send the green-with-envy gal an invitation. Keep the high ground.

Yes, she is.

She will never admit it in a thousand years, however.

Being humans, everyone can get a twinge of jealousy from time to time, but the fact that she has chosen to act it out - not deal with herself and rid herself of the pettiness in relation to another's good news - lets you know a lot about her as a person.

There's a chance she could either directly or indirectly try to make you "take sides", also.

Even though it's not you that she's being miserable about at the moment, I'd advise you to be wary.
