Well, I am a bit confused here. I have both unsolicited comments saying I am cute, hot, sexy, whatever. But then, I have had other unsolicited comments saying that I am "ugly" (from other guys). I have put my pic up elsewhere on different forums, and most of those that viewed it agree with the former statements, but maybe they are just being nice?

Anyway, how do I discern between truth and fiction?

What do you think? do you feel like you are good looking?

If you are confidant in yourself, ppl will see that in you and that will make you more attractive!

Posted

But that's just other dudes who in the scheme of things will see you as competition. Take it as a compliment, it means they're worried about you.

Pedigree, you might be right. I'll think this over, I don't want to end up like some arrogant people I know that think they are good looking, but don't have anything to back it up, ya know?

Put your pic up and well tell ya.

I have noticed that men often rate each others' looks in the "How buffed are you, tan you are, pissed off you look, shoes you're wearing, huge jawline" standard. Alternatively, women are less concerned in general about muscles and more concerned about little stuff like their height and their hair...

...so they could both be telling the truth.

Here it is, sorry I have my shirt off in one of them. The close-up of my face is a little weird. Well, anyway, judge away. And I would rather have female responses.

It's blurrier than Hell, but you're attractive from what I can squint.

But why do you want a "yes" or "no" on this issue? I think people on here would rather give advice instead of a black and white answer.

Thanks. And I apologize about the blurriness of the pic. Why do I want a yes or a no? I suppose then because I would know what to improve on if there was some glaring visual problem. Most people can detect things like that.

Well, I am actually trying to put on weight in the form of muscle mass (only 145lbs). So, in terms of weight, you're where I want to be. As far as the Italian nose, I don't ever recall reading those are automatically unattractive. But, just like you, I am not an expert at judging other guys appearances.

Gosh, how tall are you. 145?

As far as looks. You're an above average looking dude. You know it's funny, I never believed looks didn't matter much. I'm probably a 5-7 at best, no longer really toned or anything more, but I do have a height thing going for me. My girlfriend is a straight 10 head-turner if I've ever seen one.

She's after me because of my confidence, ambition, and boldness. I seize opportunities, including taking her out for the first time years ago. It wasn't until now that I do believe that there are great looking women out there where looks don't really matter. They much honestly prefer someone who has strength and oozes manliness.

That's really subjective and it doesn't really matter what we say here. Some women will think you're cute, and others maybe not. It just depends on what their type is. I'm enthralled with my bf because he's oozing with confidence, sexiness and swagger, and of course he's good to me. I'm not sure he's necessarily all that cute to other women,(one of my gfs said he is, but I don't care) but I tend to like rugged looking men, and not the pretty boy types. He's handsome to me, and that's what counts. If he were mean and arrogant, I'd find him unattractive.

Be yourself, strong and confident, and love who you are. Women don't like insecure men.

I'm 5'11 close to six foot. Anyway, that's cool you have a 10 girlfriend. That's one way to increase confidence, eh? As far as great looking women not caring about looks...well, I'm sure there are a few of them out there, I can't debate that. But I'm sure they are taken by guys much more awesome than me lol!

TS youre fine looking. Not ugly at all, so you dont have to believe it when anyone says that, and Im not blowing smoke up your ass. Where it becomes subjective is because you have a very russian-mobster utilitarian looking face. Clear cut lines and all. SO its just a matter of which ladies like that face and which ones dont. Its all a matter of taste, but youre not ugly.

Maybe I should change my name to "Fat Tony" or something, heh . But seriously, maybe I should consider changing some of my features, if they make me look to extreme? I dunno, just a thought.

Nothing wrong with your looks. Above average for sure, especially if you're an American.

What does me being an American have to do with it? Don't worry I'm not offended, just really curious about the meaning behind that statement.

Dont change anything, youre very chizled. Its perfectly in demand. DOnt change nuthin.

Thanks, I'll ponder it. I still have my doubts or whatever. But I do appreciate the compliments.

70% of Americans are obese. The fact that you're not a fatass automatically puts you in the top third.

Well, I was more looking for a facial assessment. I think I actually need to gain some weight.

Hate to break it to you, but 1/3rd of the population is overweight-33.3% not 70%. Which means 68% of the population in America is either healthy or underweight. But math isn't your strong suit right?

And OP, you are fine looking, quit worrying about it and count your blessings that you are normal looking. Enjoy what you have.

Nope, the 33% figure refers to people who are morbidly obese (i.e. will die from heart attack if they don't lay off the cheeseburger and pizza diet). If you count everyone who's fat (i.e. higher than normal BMI), the number climbs up to 70%.

I know this will sound vain, but "normal looking" was what I didn't want to be, as far as "average" is concerned. I guess that's why I had the pre-conceived notion of wanting to change my appearance. I mean, I guess I could be worse looking, but I take being "fine" with a grain of salt.

Wow, there were a lot of quotes in this post! :p
