aerogurl87 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Ok, so that caught your attention. Anyhow my birthday is coming up this Friday and my boyfriend is sick with a cold that's getting a little better everyday so I'm assuming he should be back to normal hopefully by my birthday. With that said I want to do something sweet for him and make him some homemade chicken noodle soup and just cuddle over at his house with that and some hot cocoa as I LOVE hot cocoa. Sound good to anyone? I know it's my birthday and he should be doing something for me, blah blah blah. But he's sick and I really just want to spend my birthday with him, even if it's just taking care of him for the day.
boldjack Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 WOW, you sound like a great GF:). Yes, stay and doctor your honey, then go out on-the-town, after he feels better.

Thanks I just want him to feel better and of course I want to spend some time with him since I haven't seen him any all week. I was thinking of just staying in for the night though and renting some movies to watch together since it is supposed to be all rainy that night. Plus I'm going out the next day with my friends for a night on the town.
boogieboy Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I know the hot cocoa isfor you, but did you even ask him what HE wants to eat and drink while hes sick?
Author aerogurl87 Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 I know the hot cocoa isfor you, but did you even ask him what HE wants to eat and drink while hes sick? Hmm no, I wanted to surprise him. And as far as I know he hasn't been eating anything to help his cold because last time I checked reese's peanut butter cups didn't help boost your immune system or fight colds. So I was thinking of bringing him some chicken noodle soup since I know he actually likes that, maybe some oranges since he loves fruit, and hot cocoa for me.
Bejita463 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I'd be highly pleased if my SO were to do something like this for me at all, let alone on their birthday. Seems like a pretty solid idea to me.

Author aerogurl87 Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Whats his unique way, does he slap it out of your hands when you bring him soup? Haha no. I mean he'll be somewhat sarcastic about it but in this playful manner. Therefore, he'll appreciate it in his own unique way.
ForRealLoveMe Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Whats his unique way, does he slap it out of your hands when you bring him soup? Where is the hostility coming from?
tigressA Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 You should totally do that, it's a great idea. I once took care of an ex who was sick with an awful cold and he still says it was the nicest thing anyone's ever done for him. I think a lot of guys like being taken care of and will really appreciate an SO's efforts to nurse them back to good health.
phineas Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Oral while sick is nice also. Just saying....

Perhaps I am alone in this experience, but a partner that claims they would take care of you with an action like this when you are ill is far more common than a partner that actually does so.
boogieboy Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Where is the hostility coming from? My point seems to have gone over your head, but thats ok, the OP understood it....
