SpanksTheMonkey Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 My partner has this guy buddy who he seams rather close to I wouldn't quite say best friends but close anyways hes one of those people who likes to stir and get right into your business! ugh.. So what happened is I was having a prob with my income last month I get a benefit and am disabled. And we were afraid I may have lost it I since have straighted things out and every things ok but it was a worry for a while there. Now whats been on my mind was my partner had told me that his buddy had given him the advice to dump me if I lost my income back then and how that would be kinder to me and better for my partner blah blah. And how I wasn't motivated hed be better off alone and yada yada mind you this is coming from a man who actually cheats the system on a reg basis!. I really am genuinely disabled his own partner doscent work either there both Hippocrates! Me and my partner have caut them saying nasty things to each of us when the other wasn't around. Now my partner is still friends with these people but it all puts a bad taste in my mouth ill be polite but to be honest id rather not try to be buddies at this point am I wrong for being upset? I guess the issue I have is the guy telling my partner to dump me am I wrong here? I mean you don't just dump some one when things get rough. Last night my guy said to me "oh don't worry spanks so and so still likes you" I'm like great dose he actually think I care if this guy likes me? I don't really like him or his nasty gf. Should I give things another go here or be honest with my guy and tell him id rather not try to be friends with these people what would you do?

That's why you don't have any responses. As for the situation. You can certainly express your feelings to your partner about his friends - that you're uncomfortable with the disrespect paid to you by his "friend." But ultimately, it's up to your partner if he wants to keep up with a friend like that. You can't make him dump his friend. But yes, if I were in that situation, I'd certainly say something.

Yea I thought so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overreacting he lets people walk all over him it seams I'm def not the same way this will be interesting I foresee a confrontation in the near future.
