hi peeps.

last night i went on a date with my ex-girlfriend (we broke up just over a month ago and we dated for 4 years), only lasted just over an hour but it was short and sweet. she text me when i got home and said she had a lovely time and that it was so nice to see me. she forgot her ATM card and didnt have any money, so i paid for the meal (which is what i was gonna do anyway) and now she wants to come over today to drop the money off even though i've insisted she doesnt have to. the date ended with her giving me a kiss and a cuddle, nothing special i know. what i would like to ask you guys is..... when i see her today should i keep it short?..... should i ask her if she fancies doing something?.....If we do go out should i go for a kiss this time? this whole break up is like playing a game and right now i dont think im winning! quick responses would be really appreciated,

thanks for reading!!

Assuming she's the one who called it off? I'd go with your gut feeling. I seriously wouldn't push hard for another day out just yet. leave it a little while, better still let her ask you.

Don't give up because you will be left wondering but making yourself busy and attractive (the thing that attracted her) has to be your priority here, the rest will hopefully fall into line. Keep your heart guarded and let us know the outcome

Good luck

I'm taking it you want to get back together with her(?) In which case, you could suggest that instead of just giving you back the money, she pay "the next time" -- that'll leave it open for her to shut-down that idea or run with it...and you can take your cue from whatever she decides.

If you're talking about a kiss on the cheek, then sure...why not? But maybe you'd want to wait to find out if she's (also?) looking to get back with you before initiating anything more than that.

well yeah i did say to her 'take me out another day if you want?' to which she replied 'yeah ok, but im still bringing the money round tomorrow'. so right now im left in limbo again! i dont know whether she's bringing the money round to say.... thats it, i saw you last night and now your out of my system.... or..... im bringing the money round because i want to see you (almost like an excuse).

Keep it short. Take the money and say thanks and goodbye. If she wants to hang around, tell her you have plans, but she can hang for a cup of coffee. Don't talk about you two unless she wants to. Make it no longer than like 15 minutes. You need to get her to want you more. Giving her all of you will not do this. You need to make her miss you.

right ok so she came round and dropped the money off. first of all she walked into my house and started nosing about. there was an awkward silence and i asked her what her plans were for the rest of the day (just to break the tension) to which she said 'nothing'. i then asked her if she wanted to do something and we ended up having a quick lunch. when she dropped me back home i received a text from her saying she liked my new sofas. tbh i was in a bit of shock, really didnt expect to hear anything from her. i really dont know what to think! is she just being nice or what? as the texting was going on i though that now was the time to end it, but on a nice note..... so i stuuupidly said 'have a nice evening, i hope to hear from her in the week'!! to which she replied ' you too, speak soon!'. . . . . . . why oh why!! i could kick myself. how you can so easily get caught up in the moment. what you guys think? forget it and leave it to her to contact me again?

Well.. you dated her for 4 years..

What do you think she wants with all the new contact ?

Go with your gut and don't play too many games, upfront and honesty is always the best way to go when you are doing good with one another and going out on dates..

Just don't go spilling your guts to her.. she doesn't want to hear that but you have to be upfront about where are we going with this kinda stuff and honest with those answers

Good luck..
