Thebob Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Comedian Ron White brought up the location where my ex used to live on T.V., and now it started to flush all the memories I had at this location. Why can't I seem to get away from this girl, like our song always plays, I constantly have to change it on the radio, then the T.V. starts yellin out jokes about my ex's household location, I mean honestly wtf is up. Is this a sign or what? I swear, this location is so small! that no one can hardly know about it beside the west coast of Florida. So it's absolutely random that he talked about this damn location. Arghhhhhhhh! Sorry for the rant, Thebob
JaggedRoad Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 It's times like these when you begin to wonder if there really is a higher power at work. Sucks, but hang on tight!
Author Thebob Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 I know right? this can't be freaking coincidence, this is just absolutely retarded. It's startin to get me angry honestly. been NC for 1.5 months, well we talked 2 times for literally 5 seconds both times, but I am starting to improve a lot. This is just buggin me overall.
PerfectFailure Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 There IS a higher power and it's name is NOT Ron White. We are ALL connected as we ALL suffer from the human condition. Embrace these connections. The next song on the radio that means nothing to you means everything to someone. Smile at the next awful song that makes you cringe cuz somewhere another human being is crying from the depths of their soul cuz that *****ty song is kicking their ass. *wrapping you up in this old man's arms and keeping you safe til the sun rises, as it always does, and shines once again upon you* And it WILL shine upon you again. PF
WTRanger Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 You need to drop your brain's need to tie human attributes to stationary objects. Ron White did not make the connection, you did or more accurately your brain did. For whatever reason, our Ego feels the need to go hyper-negative. When we are down, our brains really seem to try to keep us down. This is a clear step to absolute recovery. It is seeing basic everyday objects and not tie them to an ex. Would you look at a fork and cry because you used one when you and your ex would eat?
Author Thebob Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 of course not, but this is different, it's the place that I met her, the place that I had the greatest times with, and had been to a million times. A fork is just a object that is insignificant. I'm sorry maybe im different and don't think like that. But thanks for the effort in that. And it's the place that we first became intimate and i lost my V card. So ya kno? it's tough....... I don't blame ron white. But damn him! lol
NSW768 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 (edited) i can beat that. a week ago tonight i was watching the movie "away we go". in the movie they are supposed to be in montreal but they really go to a restaurant in Connecticut that me and my girl went to every saturday night. (its a sat as im watching this) they show the outside of the restaurant for like a good 10 seconds. the movie is about true love, and this ****ed me up, well not really but i had one of those, What does it all mean moments. she lives down the street and i remember movie cameras there like 11 months ago. didnt expect it on a saturday night, 3 weeks to the day of the breakup, well i was watching this love story. i mean any other ****ING RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD. and they picked ours. now thats a coincidence also (not to get to crazy) but in the background they play "meet me in the morning" by dylan, the last song i ever put on a mix for her, which was to kinda hint at the tough times we were having. (song is about dylan and his then wife splitting) and at the restaurant the character have a deep conversation comparing love to pancakes or something like that. too weird Edited October 18, 2009 by NSW768
Author Thebob Posted October 18, 2009 Author Posted October 18, 2009 And that is when you think a higher power is out there, but it could just be a 1 in a trillion chance of happening and it did. It's like winning the lottery but in the wrong way lol. Well man im sure it messed ya up a little bit and all the memories started pouring in your head, but thanks for the story man was enjoyable to read. Thebob
