Go out, party with friends, Sometime get drunk, come home, and the weeks starts all over again. I know i'm becoming myself again but it seems like i just don't feel like I am. I'm happy fro the most part but not as happy or the way I use to before the ex. Defore I could just stay home and not even be bored. I'd do things myself like go to the store and shop around, watch movies, play some games here and there but now its like i can't even enjoy any of those things anymore. I feel the same but some how dont at the same time. Wish I was the way I was before. Life was better. Sorry for the rant. Like the title of the thread say. I'm Bored

Not one ongoing relationship, but 3 back to back relationships. I recently broke up with my ex a month ago, and I can relate to how you're feeling. All 3 exes I ended up leaving due to them cheating on me. I'm trying not to jump into another relationship because I believe it's part of the reason why I keep getting these jerks. So I'm trying to stay single, but it's hard because like you said, I don't enjoy it like I used to. I guess I have to learn to get reaquainted with myself because I really don't want to jump into another relationship. I can completely understand, I'm bored too.
delajoonal Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 yep..im home too...but i don't do the club thing anymore.. and still grieving the loss of a 14 year marriage... so i fine at home watching Monk and Psych..LOL i dont' feel like i am missing anything anymore..too old..43..Ok ok..44 next month..LOL...but i am still darn cute...LOL anyway...crack open a cold one fofiffs...and check out HBO or something? think of it like this...hang out at home tonight, get some sleep, no hang over.. you can wake up early, go to starbux, and enjoy the beautiful sunshiny day...go to the dog park...so what if you don't have a dog..LOL..its a good place to meet people:) maybe you will meet someone out tomorrow, in the park, to go out with on saturday night, that you would NOT have met, if you had gone out tonight and got drunk and had a hangover and too tired to go out into the nice sunshiny saturday afternoon... LOL..i know, i sound kooky..LOL hang in there...enjoy the quiet time... take care...

I have been hanging out with friends at bars on Fridays/Saturdays for the last few weeks, but it only provides a temporary escape. I miss the feeling of being alone before the relationship. As you all have mentioned, it's just not the same anymore. I know this feeling will eventually go away, so that's the only thing I'm looking forward to.

How long have you been n/c for now? Sometimes I feel the same..like single was better before the relationship...who cares now. I enjoied today! I plan out my day to have fun. Another person doesn't complete me. I enjoy myself. Dario sounds like you got caught up in a pattern. This whole thing of jumping into another relationship doesn't work, and your story proves it. Sorry If I'm being harsh. I'm saying we should up our self esteem here.... People with low self esteem love cause they feel they need it...people with high self esteem give love cause they have it for themselves. I see people watch t.v, sleep all day, drink alchohol....I have done alot of great things this year....I stopped drinking, cigs etc... Lets make sure we enjoy ourselves! Pleasure isn't the end all..we have to feel our hurt, fears etc....but this whole thing we have to take responisibilty for some of it. I hope all of you find the partners you deserve and who will love you for who you are!

I was actually doing fine for a few months and was on strict NC till my ex contacted me a month ago. You should read my recent thread. Got some updates on there.
