JaggedRoad Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Head and shoulders seem to help with dandruff.
Lizzie60 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Try a medicated shampoo for dandruff... Head and shoulders is not good.. try a shampoo with tar in it.
Author Limbo21 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 Thanks, heard quite a few times head n shoulders is really bad for your hair but I'll give selsun blue a whirl if I can find it & I'll look into the medication you mentioned only thing I've got going for me is a full head of hair at 40
xpaperxcutx Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Head and Shoulders actually makes dandruff worse despite it's advertisements. I would recommend t- gel, it has anti- dandruff functions. It's actually made from tar and smells like mint and gives your scalp a tingly feeling.
northstar1 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 You should go see your Doctor. It might be just simple dandruff, or it might be Seborrhea etc. Head and Shoulders does little but leave a waxy buildup on your scalp which is meant to coat the skin from flaking off. Tgel tends to work for some. Also, if it is fungal based, then Nizoral works for many to clear up the fungus.
