9Lives Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I was with a guy and he told me that he loves me to death but he gets bored quickly. He said it is not just with me but with women in general. He may want to hang with you one minute and then the next, he dont want to be bothered. It will have nothing to do with you but just his mood. I dont think he is lying to me. I have seen it happen to us many times. I feel like he will try to stay cool with me then there a break out and he just will come to a point where he wants to do whatever he wants to do. It is wierd. Unfortunately I fell in love with him after finding out that this is the kind of person he is. I want to know has anyone experienced this and how they handled the situation. It has been a rollercoaster ride and we just talked about it today cause it become real to both of us from dealing with each other over the last couple of years. what did you do or should have done?
EcstasyX6 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Do you think maybe you were spending too much time together? What do you have in common?

Yes, there are men who get bored with women very quickly (and there are women who are like that too). What I don't understand though is how can your BF be bored of you if you're still together after 2 years? Or are you talking about "episodic boredom" - i.e. he gets bored with you for a while and then becomes interested again?

We will be fine and then he will want to do his own thing and not include me. Doing his own thing doesnt necessarily mean seeing another woman but it could me talking to other women or whatever. I feel like I am stuck on him. I want to move on so but i cant do it. It is horrible!!! He doesnt stop talking to me but I am definately not being treated the way I want to be treated at all.
carhill Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 So, how many other women has he been bored with while dating you? Also, read this post and comment upon how that perspective from a month ago is relevant here http://www.loveshack.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2395887&postcount=14
Author 9Lives Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 carhill, I have changed been that woman...meaning I have not been pushing or trying to be in his life like I was before. I am trying to accept it. NC was horrible. LC is better but I still feel like I am stuck. He just told me today that this is what he thinks his problem is. I dont think he is lying or trying to hurt me. I think this is who he is. I just happen to fall in love with someone like this. Maybe I really do need counselling. I dont know
