Why do we want what we can't have? And what we can have, we don't?

I'm sure this isn't true for everyone, but why do we want what we can't have?

I want my ex....because I can't have him. But there's times when you're together where you argue or fall out or are bored and you want to be anywhere but there. Most of the time that wasn't the case for me, but you have your moments.

Then i'm being offered a guy who says he loves me and can see us married and with a family...and I feel like running for the hills.

I mean...am I the REAL commitmentphobe for wanting what I can't have? (and therefore...can't work) and running away from someone that COULD offer me a future?

Because we're human.

Simply it means you're not in love with him.. or ready to be in love with him.

It's not enough to be loved in order to love back someone... as most of us know very well...
