tigressA Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 So, my crush on the stage manager for the show has been all for naught--he's not into me "that way". The director, who's friends with both of us, asked him about it--not mentioning me--and he had guessed it was me from the way I'd been acting recently, very flirty and whatnot. He said that he's also not looking for a dating situation anytime soon. He did say he considers me a good friend. The director said she had been told not to say this to me but she did anyway --he'd had a crush on me his freshman year, when we had had two classes together, but I was with my ex at the time. Just bad timing, I suppose. I'm going to be professional and courteous at rehearsals, of course, and not flirt with him anymore. I'm glad I know now.
boldjack Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Im sorry Tigress, that it didn't work out. You WILL find another man, you are too fine a Lady, not to>
Author tigressA Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 Aw, well thank you. That's sweet. I'm looking on the bright side--better that I know now before I fall harder for him and have it be much more difficult to forget. And while he doesn't think of me that way anymore, he did like me when we first met, which is nice to know--flattering, in a sense. I know better than to have that allow me to think that "Oh, things can change" or whatever, though, because most times they don't. Things will only be awkward if either of us make them awkward, and I have no plans to do that. I'm going to keep him as a friend because he is a really cool guy and I have fun with him.
