2.50 a gallon Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Dela Another thought, but non holiday Take Amtrak from CA to CO in the winter time. I have taken it several times but never in the winter. If the schedule is the same, you leave Sacramento about noon and spend the rest of daylight climbing up the Sierras. Night time you cross the deserts of Nevada and Utah. Salt Lake City was maybe 2 or 3 in the morning. Sunrise of the following day you are climbing through the Rockies and about 8 or 9 in the evening arrive in Denver. I have been told by those who have ridden it, the winter scenary is simiilar to Switzerland and the Alps They used to have a ski train that left Denver on the weekends and climbed up to Winter Park. I have heard that this has been discontinued, but another rumor says it might run again this year by another company I like the pink tree idea, sounds kind of Barbie to me. We have to put our tree outside on the porch. We have muliple cats, to them it is just a big jungle gym, with these neat balls to knock around Gallon
