alasia Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Hi, I've posted on here lots about my ex and my confusion about his feelings...and I have another question He came round today to see our children, and he and I chatted. He was feeling - and looking - ill, so maybe not the best time to talk about 'us', but I brought it up; saying that I was wondering where I stand as he acts kind of 'cuddly' with me (more so than with his female friends and colleagues). I asked why he act that way of eh doesn't want to give the relationship another chance and he said he does want to, and ended up saying "ok let's start again, from now". But then that was it...he kissed me a few times and asked me to see him later on his break at work, but am I right in thinking that if he genuinely saw us as back together 'from now', there'd be a bit..more than just saying it? I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was a bit of an anticlimax, and didn't really sound genuine! Should I ask him if we're actually 'together' when I see him later, or just leave it and see how things go? And also; how does being in a relationship work when you'e not living together? He was my first relationship you see, and we moved in together pretty much straight away (big mistake), so I just have no idea what to expect from a relationship where you're living apart. How do you show commitment to each other if you live in different places? I doubt he really means ot about getting back together anyway; he says it every now and again and we never go any further, this time though he said he knows he's said it in the past, but this time he really means it. Hmm. How do I tell if he's genuine?
TaraMaiden Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Ring him and ask him what he wants for dinner tonight, and what time he'll be home. If he answers anything other than "steak and fries" and "at around 6.30", move on.
