I get that some of us are egging you on, but really -- this type of immaturity is probably what your main problem is with this girl. Real men don't have to prove how great they are or flaunt all their material stuff in your face. A real man is comfortable with himself, whether he has a PhD from Harvard, a Benz, a Rolex and a house on a hill somewhere, or if he's a mechanic who wears jeans and work boots and grease every day, who drives a Chevy truck and rents an apartment. BTW, I don't pull anywhere near to $5 or $6K per month, and even I had a $40K car...so that isn't making your case, dearie. Lastly, I will reiterate, the fact that you gamble in casinos to make your money does not really help your cause at all. If you started and ran your own business, or your wrote books and collected royalties, or you worked hard and invested wisely -- those things would impress me. But you could lose everything you have just as quickly as you won it, because you obviously have no appreciation for hard work. That's a seriously lacking quality if a girl is looking for a future husband or long-term boyfriend.

I got a tax/accountant and everything. My gf sees how much money I make doing my business with a small amount of effort and she doesnt like it. I would say the main thing you need to work on is your attitude. You asked the members of this site a question, you got an honest answer based on the information you provided... which was mainly about what you have and not who you are. The ladies here stated that they would not want to be with someone who put their material things first. Had you placed some emphasis early on about who you are and what your godo quality traits are the response you received may have been more to your liking or at least not quite as one sided as it was. Emotional connection makes successful relationships, things only make flings. I'm not saying money is not important to quality of life, because it is. But not having it lets you work on yourself and truly become the best person you can be and allows you to find healthy relationships. Honestly if I had a lot more money, I wouldn't really live any different than I do now and it would mainly sit in the bank. And I would definitely hold it aside during the dating stages of a relationship. I would let any potential partners know, if they asked, that I make enough to live comfortably but not that I have a ton of money in the bank. I would rather let them think I am more broke than rich, but I may be biased due to the lack of funds I had while dating but came away richer than I could have ever hoped to be. Here is my story about how having nothing let me truly have everything I've ever dreamed of: I met my now fiance when I was broke, 19, in college, and living with my parents. I had little to no income, but I found a beautiful, sweet, amazing girl who I connect with on every level. For the first almost 2 years of our relationship we had nothing materialistic, but we did have each other. Pretty much all my money was put into my gas tank going to see her at her college about 5 times a week. We never really got to go anywhere outstanding. Sometimes the movies, mostly just downloading movies online and watching them and having fun outside. I then got a job making decent money, enough for us to get an apartment. Still not a ton of money leftover to do things, but a lot more than before. Fast forward another year and I am now 22, making a very good salary, we just purchased a house together, and still as close as ever. If I had the money I am making now back then who knows if things would have turned out the way they have. I consider myself very lucky to find such a wonderful girl who loves me for who I am and not what I can provide. She stayed with me for 2 years before we had anything and still it is like nothing has changed. Sure we can go out and have more fun now, but everything still falls back to the basics. It has nothing to do with what you have, all that matters is who you are. Who knows what types of girls my salary now would have attracted. By being completely broke and finding such a perfect girl there has never been a doubt in my mind that she loves me for me. And now we can afford to do all the things we used to just dream about doing when we were broke and had nothing but our love.

People typically in this society do not go down in social class unless something drastic happens. I know im spoiled and I do get things handed to me a lot. I was spoiled when I was little and I went to high school overseas with people who were cruisin 80k cars for their first cars. Labor was cheap over there and we had personal drivers, maids, gardeners, etc. same with all my friends over there. My friends lived in HUGE houses over there and had multiple ones in the city and on the beach. Tell me your outlook and lifestyle wouldn't be changed. My friends from the US noticed I changed after I came back. You think at 27 you can just switch over and live like a hippy and change my attitude. I know I got an attitude. But im not some stuck up snob. When I go overseas to visit I give the poor workers a lot of money because i feel sorry for them. They make like 2 dollars a day. Ive given some like 60 dollars just cause I wanted too and they were nice. But like i tell my parents I cant change over night. Seriously all of you were egging me on. But I dont go flaunting money around, I dont just say hey you konw what kind of car i drive yadda yadda. Ive had girls ask me what kind of car I drive and I say a 92 honda accord no lie and I leave it at that. They see it they see it I dont go out of my way.

Go ahead and make $140k in a few days like your buddy did and knock the debt out. Or just throw all the extra you have at it like I do, the faster you take out your debt the better you can save in the future. Everyone values money differently. You seem to have always lived a life full of luxary and seem to have no problem throwing money around. I on the other hand came from a much lower class family where my father worked multiple jobs to put food on the table and keep a roof over our heads. If I won a million dollars I would just concentrate on the necessities, paying off my house, college loans, getting a new car (efficient mind you, something that gets a good MPG), put some aside for my future childrens college funds, and the rest in my 401K for the future. I do wish my family had more growing up, I have 4 siblings and my father didn't make much, but I wouldn't trade it back for anything. I am who I am because of that situation and now am in a position to help my younger siblings get through college and not have nearly the debt I had when I graduated.
