I recently went NC with my xAP. But he still could text me. Is there a way to block his phone number in my phone? I won't switch phone numbers.

Thanks!

I would suggest calling your provider, they may be able to help you. You might also check online with your providers site, perhaps there is a FAQ that will tell you how this can be done.

I know it's a pain, but change your cell number. Transfer all your contacts to your new phone number and let folks know the # change. He could easily contact you by other numbers, calling you etc..So take it a step further and change YOUR number so he can't find you anymore.

you can block numbers with verizon wireless and , T mobile I know allow blocking a number so I am pretty sure the others do as well

I blocked an unwanted stalker's number- only to find out that they could still leave voice messages. On top of that, I would get charged $1.50 for the "block" everytime the stalker called. I ended up with HUGE phone bills every month because of the stalker calling non-stop!!!

This was through Roger's. They are such a horrible carrier. The worst customer service ever.

If you are a day late on paying your bill- they will call you six times a day from a long distance number and charge you for calling you long distance to tell you you are late.

The most disgusting business practices ever.

Wow, I had no idea about that!! I deal with BELL only now as I have had other issues with Rogers..

Nowhere, change your number, it'll be worth it in the end..

Arghh! I don't want to change my number, damn it. I've had it for like 10 years. I guess I don't have any other option.

No... he never calls anymore. It was more the concern that he might text me and throw me off my "game".

He's such a tool... he probably won't even realize that I've cut him off until next week anyway. And I seriously doubt he'll respond.

You can always think of it as a great way to give a boost to your business.. it will give you a chance to make contct with business contacts that you have been not contacted in awhile. make yourself some new beautiful business cards or flyers with your new number.. designing them will give you something other than xAP to focus on for awhile. :D

Just trying to find a silver lining for you.

Hope your tomorrow is better than your yesterday! HUGS, FA

I guess it depends on who your carrier is if you want to block a number with most national carriers is blocks them completely texts, voicemails, calls the works. I have done it many times to many people. DO NOT change your number especially if is a number used for work purposes as well. Just call your carrier and find out and they will tell you what their policies are

Tell him that you'll show your phone to his wife.

That should put an end to his calls.

I really appreciate hearing that because most of the time i feel like the worlds biggest piece of SH*T because of where I am in my life right now. *sigh* But thanks again, that made me smile. I needed that. ((HUGS))

You are very welcome FA!!!

I would've pm'd it to ya, but you don't have that option. Yet.

Again, you are a sweetie!!!

I wouldn't change my number.

That is giving him power, IMHO.

You already have plenty of changes to make.

I know AT&T (iphone) you can't block stuff :(

NO WAY would I change -- nope.

You are thinking he might text you. If you have deleted him from your phone, then IF he texts you, it won't come up as him. JUST DELETE.

DELETE DELETE DELETE

Once you do change it, people are going to ask you why. EACH time someone asks you, it is going to drag it all up for you again....hence, you will be thinking of him MORE and MORE, instead of less than less.

Although FA has a great idea (and FABULOUS advice) ;) no way would I give him the power to make you change something you have had for 10 years.

You can figure out what the email address to his SMS via his providers gateway is and sprinkle that address around various places so it's picked up by email spammers.

If he likes SMS so much you might as well give him the gift of text.

That is just evil.. but it did make me laugh. :lmao:

I mean, we have all wanted to do something unkind as a response to our own pain now and then...

but, I stick with what I say, she can either get the provider to block him, or change her number and try to make lemonade from life's lemons. :D

with Sprint you can call them and ask them to block any number from texting you..or if you have a Sprint acct. you can also do this yourself online...

good luck..;)
