Lauriebell82 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 What are your thoughts on this? Has this ever happened to anyone?
bluewolf17 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Who hasn't? Lol. I have dreams about other guys quite a bit. Sometimes it's a guy that represents another guy. Like I had a dream about my ex, and that he had come back to me..but the actual person in my dream was my gay friend. Maybe because my friend was a "safe person". But yes. In fact last night I dreamnt of a old teacher from high school. Yummy.
WTRanger Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I wouldn't out too much though into this. Dreams are random clips from your brain strung together in a poorly laid out fashion. It's like taking all of your DVD's and melting them into one DVD then watching what plays out on your TV.
Trialbyfire Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Hellz yeah! Some are really, really bizarre. Even people I can't stand and would rather push off a 40 foot balcony without any remorse!
Palmer253 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 It's totally normal and can't be helped. It's just not something that you really want to hear your SO talk about or vice versa.
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Even though you already have a SO/Fiance/Husband?
sb129 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Same here. Some have been pretty cool dreams, others just weird.
sb129 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Even though you already have a SO/Fiance/Husband? You can't control your dreams. Its not cheating IMO.
Trialbyfire Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Even though you already have a SO/Fiance/Husband?Yes, in all three cases. BTDT. The human subconscious mind isn't easy to understand. It can be very symbolic. People can represent power, objects to people, actions to situations, etc.
Citizen Erased Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 They're just dreams LB. In reality, not important.
Author Lauriebell82 Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Well, that's good to know. Over the weekend fiance and I went up to my college for homecoming and saw my ex boyfriend (it was short term, like 3 months). He insisted on hanging out with us and it was the most ackward thing in the whole world. I don't have very fond feelings for him, it was a messy and terrible break-up even though it was short term. So last night I dreamt that I was still with him and my fiance didn't exist (like I never met him). It freaked me out some as I have no feelings for my ex and really truely can't stand him.
GorillaTheater Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Even though you already have a SO/Fiance/Husband? Yeah, it happens. Don't beat yourself up. Dreaming is just a brain-dump that has nothing to do with anything. And my day's perked up considerably, knowing now that TBF has been dreaming about me.
Trialbyfire Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I recall having one of those dreams about a cretin, where I worked at the time. While A LOT of the chicks liked him, I found him slimy and smarmy. I woke the next morning totally grossed out, avoiding him for days after that, couldn't look the guy in the eyes without wanting to puke.

allina Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I had a vivid sex dream about Jay Leno a few nights ago. I have no idea why, I'm not even attracted to him.

I think that dream is about your fiance and not your ex. Maybe your hoping he will vanish. Honestly, don't put too much stock in dreams. My most recent dream was me being eaten by a 40ft crocodile.

Your fiance has been unsupportive of you lately and this was a form of passive-aggressive response to him.
