aerogurl87 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 i knew some girls who expected the guy to pay even after 2nd time i paid for her drink, she still didn't bring out her wallet. ---that is cheap to me First of all that's not being cheap, it's called being a gentleman. If a guy were to ask me out on a date I'd expect him to pay for the first 3 dates at the least. Then again I'm kind of traditional, so maybe that's just me. I've never been on a cheap date before now that I think of it, so I can't help you out with any stories really. Sorry.
SoulSearch_CO Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I'm sure everybody's definition of "cheap" is going to be different. Guy I'm dating now has spent more on me in the 2 months I've known him than my most recent xbf spent on me over the course of 6 months. I HAVE offered to pay and I HAVE refused his attempts at paying for things - it doesn't work. The best way I saw to avoid this - we were at a food court and he went to one counter to buy food - I claimed I wasn't hungry. Then oh-so-casually changed my mind and bought my own food somewhere else. LOL He gets insulted if I try to pay my way. I'm starting to wonder if there's a power-dynamic at play, here. So I guess if you look at it your way - I'm one cheap ****er because I haven't paid for a single date and we've been out easily a dozen times.
