trippi1432
Lady Antebellum Where I will be when I file the divorce (when I find out what normal is after loving a leaver) Lyrics to Long Gone : It’s so like you just to show up at my door And act like nothin’s happened You think I’ll sweep my heart up off the floor And give it to you Like so many times before You’re talking to a stranger I’m not that girl anymore Chorus That girl is long gone Boy you missed the boat it just sailed away Long gone She’s not drowning in her yesterdays Betcha never thought I’d be that strong Well this girl is long gone Don’t waste your breath with baby baby please Cuz I am so not listening Don’t bother getting down upon your knees and try to beg me I’m tired of how you twist the truth You’re not talking to the same girl Who used to forgive you Repeat Chorus Gone like the wind under Superman’s cape Like a thief in the night I made the great escape I’m not the kind of girl that keeps making the same mistakes Chorus That girl is long gone Boy you missed the boat it just sailed away Long gone I’m not drowning in my yesterdays Betcha never thought I’d be that strong, betcha didn’t Yeah well baby I proved you wrong This girl is long gone, long gone This girl is long gone, long gone This girl is long gone This girl is gone
Author FeelingLonely98
Thanks trippi - After I got this I read all of your posts including the humongous 1st one! ;-) Sorry you've gone thru so much.. It seems like you are better. I am on day 38 since I got my 47 yr old wife's the "I love you but I'm not in love" speech. (7 yrs marriage 16 yrs together - no kids together) 14 days after that she said she would "try" and went to MC sessions but she was not into it. 4 days after that she left for her Mom's house and has not been back. This is Day 20 of sleeping alone in our bed. It is tough but yesterday I had divorce talk and gave her same papers to fill out. Sorry for my ranting ... I just need to stay strong and focus on moving forward. Take Care trippi ... Good Luck!!!

Author FeelingLonely98
Oh - I already know that Seibert ... She admitted it. I have done the 180 and am doing the NC - It is just SO F*ck*ng difficult. OK - I dropped 31 lbs. but have maintained the new weight for the last 7 days. (so I'm doing better) I could only sleep 4 hrs. or less the first 34 days but the last 3 nights were 5, 5, and 6 hours of sleep. (so I'm doing better) It is just so hard man ... What kills me is that I really did make a permanent change in myself in the first few days, she acknowledged it, but NEVER really tried to see if we could make it work. The b*tch gave the f*ck up on the family. All for some younger (harder?) c*ck. WHEW - where'd that come from!!! G'night!

I just need to stay strong and focus on moving forward. Take Care trippi ... Good Luck!!! Hi there, I read your story too, I think I responded to it a while back....had a best friend who's mom did this same exact thing with his best friend if I recall your story correctly, it was awful for my friend. I'm on day 35 after last split and day 9 of a very horrible backslide....(best thing is, things can only get better after that experience). I still wake up crying and have to leave my office for the bathroom to cry during days when I have few meetings to keep me busy. I cry on my way to work and I cry until I pick up our son from school. But I sleep across the King size bed at night instead of just on my side..I only have to make one side of the bed in the morning...I only put one trash can out for collection instead of two per week now...my son and I can run through the house like lunatics with the dog and cat chasing us without being yelled at. I still wish I could wake up to "normal" and am trying to establish that. As another wise LS'r reminded me, there are upsides to any downside....it's hard to think like that all the time I know...but I want to thing optimistically, it can only get better. To put it bluntly, she isn't worth your time and I bet even her friends have sympathy for you for what she is putting you though given the situation. She is fooling herself....you didn't need to change for her...does she really think in 20 years this guy will be getting her walker for her...ummm, NO! Work on you for you, not for her. Stay Strong! Hugs!

Logik
Good One - I love heavy - love PofM. Awesome. Just got a bit worried after seeing the songs that have already been posted where there were no heavy tunes. Here's a few more... Movies - Alien Ant Farm It's been a while - Staind High Speed - Coldplay Of course you could always do with a bit George Benson - Give me the night. That'll get you moving. Gunny376
Lyrics to Guess I Showed Her : (Blues Guitar Intro) I payed the clerk and moved right in A single room with one big twin There's a chest and mirror Shower's down the hall Room 16 ain't got no view But the hot plate's brand new I guess I showed her I guess I showed her Once again I've been burned My suspicion's been confirmed I saw her having lunch With some new guy I walked up and said, "Goodbye" She said, "Wait, can we talk tonight?" I guess I showed her Mmmm, I guess I showed her I guess I showed her I guess I showed her I guess I showed her that a man, yeah Has his limits Another man is where I draw the line She can have the house And everything that's in it I guess I showed her, yeah I guess I showed her (Cool guitar solo) She will be surprised When she comes in tonight Flips on the light And finds an empty home Yeah, every time she's lied Will flash before her eyes I guess I showed her, yeah, yeah I guess I showed her I guess I showed her, yeah, yeah I guess I showed her Now she can have the house And she can keep the car I'm just satisfied Staying in this funky, little old motel I'm so mad Well I can't stand it I can't stand it Nooooooo! by Robert Clay. Back in the day when I was going through it, I listened to a lot of Marshall Tucker Band. They're a very unique mix of Southern Rock, Country, Blues, etc. I also listened to Sports CD's (Songs they play at ball games over the intercom. Very motivating. Being born and raised from the South I use to listen to a lot of country music. But while I was going through (and afterwards) I quit listening to it and just the other day listen ~ first time in going on nineteen years. That stuff is just enough to find yourself stumbling and fumbling into your local liquor store and telling the clerk to just give you two fifths of anything. Two particular CD's that I played over, and over and over. Ray Charles "Child Support and Alimony" And Skip Ewings "Healing Fire" They take you from the lows to the other side of the divorce experience. I would also recommend Van Morrission ~ the man is a musical genuis
