ON MY OWN Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I am currently in a relationship with someone I have known 27 years. He is wonderful and cares about my feelings. It is a newer relationship. I am wondering why he tells me he loves me multiple times. I am not mad or anything, just if hes insecure about me, I would like to know how I can ease his mind without making a big deal out of it to disreguard his feelings. Everyone has issues and I want to be respectful of his while trying to find out why he does this. His last gf was verbally abusive and am wondering if this has any bearing on him telling me he loves me repeatedly. It will get to be to much if it continues and am not sure how to handle this or what its about. I have known him for ages and everything else seems to be going very smoothly. We live an hour and a half apart now also and am wondering if that could have something to do with it to. What can I say that would be soft enough to not disreguard his emotional needs as well. I want him to see love is not only in my words but my actions too. He says I make him feel special and he hasnt felt like that in a long time. ( years ) Help!! Thanks for any input that can be of help in strengthening our relationship, as I love him too.

Thanks for any input that can be of help in strengthening our relationship, as I love him too. I wanted to clarify he may tell me 4 times in one phone call. I am pretty laid back but it seems a bit excessive to me and thats where my question lies as far as trusting that I love him as well and I believe him....he is not being "more convincing" by doing this if this is why he does it. Thanks..
