I start threads based on reality and call people on their own BS, their laziness and inability to motivate themselves. What happens? They cry and call me a jerk. I'm not saying I'm perfect. But there people that cry want justification for their own laziness and hate it when someone comes out with the truth.

I think at this point, you've eroded your own credibility to the point where people don't trust you.

Personally, I am happy to be an American and proud of it. If you are happier with the mentality of Europeans, then go live there. Problem solved. By the way, it doesn't bother me if you are someone who personally is attracted to thin in-shape women. However, I think the sensitivety has to do with the way certain topics get dicussed around here. Which isn't exactly mature and ground breaking. You've got grown men calling women "fatties". Come on. Really? You think that makes you a man whose opinion is going to be looked at with respect? There is a way to make your point without being demeaning towards others. You don't like over weight women, that's fine. It's completely different to use purposely degrading names while a person sits perched on a pedestal. I would LOVE to see the men here have the same anamosity and degrading name calling for over-weight men. Truth is, whenever this topic comes up it's focused on women. I'm a straight shooting truth teller jerk. Simply because I tell the brutal truth without giving a damn what people think. If they don't like it, cry. I don't like to sugar coat things to make people feel better about themselves. I like to get to the bottom of things so the people that are motivated can progress, because I believe in survival of the fittest.

And that's usually born out of insecurtiy. For all your bravado, I think you aren't as brutally honest with yourself as you seem to like to be with others.

So then why spend so much time wringing your hands and commenting on how those people who apparently don't want to be helped by your truth telling end up crying? (As in: what's the whole point of this thread, for example?) Instead of concentrating on those who might be helped by your straight-shooting, truth-telling jerkishness, you seem to spend an inordinate amount of your energy addressing and needling those who are bothered by you. My best friend has been in China for a few years now and I have to say that I am glad I live in American from what she says about the culture and men there. I've never called anyone here a fatty. That's different. There are alot of ways people can be lazy, men and women, and not just in regards to weight. However, you pick the most obvious thing to harp on not because you care about people being lazy but because you, like alot of guys here, want to bash women for not being your personal ideal. If this was really about laziness, you could have picked any number of topics.

Indeed - "brutal honesty" is often more about providing a mechanism and an excuse for the exercise of brutality than it is the practice of honesty...
