Hkizzle Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Someone was asking me how the Europeans reacted when I brought up some of the threads here. What happened was this. I told my friends I was writing a book, and I was deliberately using this forum to stress test what I could put in it without offending people. What I've found in this forum is that I can't even speak the truth, and I don't mean deliberately be mean, but I can't speak the truth without people crying about it. I told them that on a thread (not started by me) some guy said he couldn't attract girls and had to settle for fat girls. That made the Europeans laugh because they knew how weight was a sensitive issue on the other side of the Atlantic. I then said I started a thread called "delusions of grandeur" where I stated if a person wants to attract attractive people then they need to be responsible for getting themselves into shape to make themselves more attractive. If they are too lazy to do this they can always settle for less. However, being to lazy to make oneself more attractive and at the same time desiring the attractive people was just plain delusional. All the Europeans nodded.
yongyong Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 True, if a fat person is looking for a skinner person and complain like 'people are too shallow' because they can't attract skinner one, that is just insane and that person needs to get some therapy I am ok with fat girl who is happy with herself but I get disgusted looking at those fat people who are depressed, blaming rest of world
sb129 Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Do you consider yourself to be attractive HK? Just wondering.
IrishCarBomb Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I hope the over sensitive people don't get to you. Your posts are really amusing.
Author Hkizzle Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 Do you consider yourself to be attractive HK? Just wondering. No man, just look at my arms. I can't even stop flexing.
Author Hkizzle Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 I hope the over sensitive people don't get to you. Your posts are really amusing. I've had one infraction after another ever since I joined. I have to pace myself now. I got one from my last thread, got till Oct 13th before that one disappears. The over sensitive people want to blow me up, IrishCarbomb!
loveslife Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Hkizzle, I've been trying to figure out for a while why I find you so repulsive. And it finally came to me. You are a textbook abusive man. You laugh at and belittle the people you hurt, you feel entitled to be cruel, you deflect blame for your actions..it's amazing how by the book you really are. Now that I have figured it out I can ignore you like so many others seem to be doing these days. The only thing that keeps niggling at me is the knowledge that one of these days you could do some serious harm to someone who comes here in desperate shape. Someone like you could really push someone vulnerable over the edge and that scares me.

I friggin come on here and tell people I AM A JERK! Guess what, you can't help but gravitate to me, so stop victimizing yourself. Lol.

All the Europeans nodded. A delusion of grandeur is a situation where a person believes that they have an overly significant purpose, to the point where it would seem insane - for instance, someone claiming that they are the next Messiah - and truly believe this would be a delusion of grandeur. What you are referring to is just self-accountability and a slightly inflated ego. Obesity is a health problem in the states due to our transportation infrastructure and work culture. The overwhelming majority of us travel by car which doesn't spend calories and healthy lifestyle choices are just starting to become mainstream - for instance, eating low-calorie, excercising regularly etc. Add to it, we Americans are only trumped by South Koreans and Japanese in terms of how much we work per week. Our European counterparts often travel by bike or foot to get to work, spending up to an hour each day doing so. The European work culture is more work to live, rather than live to work - they work fewer hours per week and spend more time persuing active hobbies. Doesn't make Europe better than America - just different.
You'reasian Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 No man, just look at my arms. I can't even stop flexing. That's not your true picture in the avatar.

I used to work a 7:30am- 6:30pm job in a high stress environment (trading floor of a bank). Yet I take the effort to stay in shape. What you mean exercising has just started to become mainstream? Steve Prefontaine made running mainstream back in the 1960's. Exercising has been around since before the Greeks started the Olympics. No one gets chained to a sofa after work, nor do they get pizzas shoved down their mouths. Everyone has a choice and a personal responsibility to themselves. If they can't be bothered to get out and do some exercise then they have no one else to blame when they're overweight.

BTW-How tall are you?

That made the Europeans laugh because they knew how weight was a sensitive issue on the other side of the Atlantic. I'm curious, why did the Europeans laugh at this? Is it because no one there "settles" for a "fat girl" or that weight is not something that people spend a lot of time contemplating when it comes to male-female attraction?

Is it because no one there "settles" for a "fat girl" or that weight is not something that people spend a lot of time contemplating when it comes to male-female attraction? They laughed because it's obvious a lot of people are sensitive about their weight, and for a guy to come on the board and blatantly trash these people, that's just friggin mean. Humor is sometimes based on the misfortune of others. Pretty much all stand up comedians make fun of people. Not saying that was the aim of the guy that started the other thread. It was just amusing seeing such a lack of empathy.
Author Hkizzle Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 I'm pretty new here, but why would anyone be offended by you? You're one person with an opinion. BTW-How tall are you? Exactly. Some of the people here are totally out of control. I mean I start a thread, they click on it. They read it. Then they start crying about me being a jerk. Did I stick a gun to their heads and say read my stuff? No............ Besides there's truth in all I say, even if it's the ugly inconvenient truth. Like fat people are not physically attractive. Is that a lie, or the truth? Get down to the friggin gym if the truth hurts. I'm 180cm, or 5"11

Humor is sometimes based on the misfortune of others. Pretty much all stand up comedians make fun of people. Not saying that was the aim of the guy that started the other thread. It was just amusing seeing such a lack of empathy. I see what you mean. I'm one of these "sensitive" guys who had a horrible time attracting women and ended up "settling" for a "fat girl". The funny thing is, the superficial things that we put such huge emphasis on when we're young end up getting all jumbled with what's truly important to us. I wanted someone very feminine to either make me forget my nerdiness or at least prove that I was not a freak of nature because of my nerdiness. It took me forever to realize this, but my wife is EXTREMELY feminine, most likely more feminine than what is the ideal match for me -- she just doesn't give herself credit for it because of her weight. So, what's your sense of the European social culture in regards to weight and attraction? Is it as superficial as in America, or do the Europeans consider personal connection to be personal connection, regardless of weight?

Then they start crying about me being a jerk. Did I stick a gun to their heads and say read my stuff? No............ So you start a thread, intending to inflame people's emotions, then, when you are successful, you wring your hands and cry "WHY, WHY are people so oversensitive?????" Seems a little..... oversensitive .... to me.

Seems a little..... oversensitive .... to me. Every thread I start has truth in it. I don't start threads to inflame people, I start them to test people's opinions on the subject. If people get all butt hurt by a forum, they should just skip the forum.

I agree with what you are saying - but you're speaking from what seems like a single guy with only his career to worry about. Imagine, if you had a wife and a child or children - your life would become so much more occupied by them.

Imagine' date=' if you had a wife and a child or children - your life would become so much more occupied by them.[/quote'] When I have kids, I'm going to bicep curl them. lol and I'll make sure my wife and I have a lot of sex. Good exercise! I know what you mean though. It's hard sometimes, but when people want to get something done, trust me it gets done. Including getting ready and showering time, a person doesn't need to spend more than 45 min a day on exercise if they go for a run around their neighbourhood.

Anyone that wants to keep in touch with this jerk can pm anytime, lol.

Including the family in fitness would be beneficial for quality time if you can get them all on board. Yes, lots of hot sex with the woman is pretty good excercise. People have to get ready. They almost have to shower. They do not have to run and if they had to run, many would find ways out of it or do the bare minimal.
