samsungxoxo Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 as the rather closed one most of us typically go for..... Reason I'm wondering is because if me and bf were to break up, I think I might settle for a somewhat open relationship. Ok maybe not screwing around, but do some of the other things and let him do them as well too.... So yea if I break up happens, I'll know what I want then.... What I mean when I stated if they have similar components is do they contain, love, commitment and integrity the same as a normal relationship or not??
splintered thing Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 What I mean when I stated if they have similar components is do they contain, love, commitment and integrity the same as a normal relationship or not?? Some do, some don't...same as conventional relationships. There are lots of styles of open relationships--if you look up "polyamory" you'll find lots of discussion of such. I'd say that the polyamourous relationships I've known have been about as healthy (or as unhealthy, as the case may be) as the monogamous ones. The big questions are whether the two of you would have compatible interpretations of "open" and would you be happy that way?
