mmk1 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 My ex of 3.5 years broke up with me one year ago. I've intermittently tried to be friends as she said she will not get back together with me, although we broke up and got back together about once a year before that. We have been friendly for the last 2-3 months but a month ago after our last lunch together, I decided to do LC. I would respond but not initiate contact. Despite the advice on this site, I am hoping staying LC will keep the door open to getting back together, although she has shown no signs of anything but platonic friends. Her birthday is October 3rd. She took me out for lunch with a card on my last birthday. Is wishing her a happy birthday consistent with LC or do I ignore it and only strictly respond, no matter what. If I ignore it will I blow any further chance with her. Any answers?
samspade Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 What is "LC"? Low contact? Just go NC, ignore her birthday, and find a new woman. You need to get over your oneitis. Either that or you can act like a "friend" and take her out to lunch for her birthday in order to shoehorn your way back into her cock rotation. Who knows, maybe she'll pity-fuqq you. One thing's for sure, she's going to resent your duplicity with, and dependency on her. Your better bet is to meet new women. I'm sure your ex was special but she doesn't merit you burning a year of your life pining to get her back. Move on.
