A guy I'm currently talking to just told me he was in love with me after I sent him an angry text I basically told him he was an ******* and I regret giving my number to him. We weren't talking that much and I just got fed up with it and sent it to him. He called me and said that his father died last week and he's been going through a lot of stuff. I told him that he knew he could of always called me to let me know what's up and vent to me. And that when he dropped the "L" word on me. He also said that he has a hard time expressing his feeling and he's very emotional. Now that he's told me what's been going on with him I feel extremely bad about the 6 page angry text. I want to tell him about how I feel but I have a hard time saying what on my mind. I really do care about him and I see myself falling for him but that text just came out of anger. All in all when he was done talking I was just speechless and crying. Which is not like me. He told me to think about it for a bit and get back to him. I don't know what to think because of what he told me. I didn't mean to call him an ******* but it just came out of anger and frustration. Can anyone give me some advice?

It sounds like you did exactly what you need to do with this guy. Yes, sucky about the timing, but you didn't know about his father and it sounds as if you two are close enough that he could have confided that in you. Nothing wrong at all with getting fed up of the 'limbo' phase and speaking your mind about it... his reaction shows that this kick in the pants was what he needed to get his head on straight. And then he did a really great thing by telling you how he feels and all that has happened and then recognizing that you were a bit overwhelmed and it appears nicely said he was giving you some space to think things through. That is a trait of a really great guy! I think you should see him in person, or over phone if that isn't an opinion and only ONE LAST TIME apologize for the text and then NEVER bring it up again unless he asks for some reason. Constant apologizing will get very annoying. After that, it is up to you fgure out if you are capable of loving him, if you want a relationship with him and discussing with him how you two can achieve that. Goood luck with your new relationship :)
