Sam Spade Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Alright, here's my actual contribution (it took a while, but I'm coming through): I actually like it how childish women are by getting super excited over silly stuff; I like the black magic that is make up; and how caring and nurturing and thoughtful they can be; also resilient; the unique gesture of adjusting a strap on their sandal;
Sam Spade Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Women are much more expressive than men. Simple as that. It doesn't mean that men or women are better than one another. Yes - I can (and often do) express my appreciation with a grunt
bayouboi Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 The thread about posting something positive about men has twice as many posts as this one haha not only that but our thread has devolved into only saying good things about our mother(s).
carhill Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 haha not only that but our thread has devolved into only saying good things about our mother(s). LOL, maybe you're on to something Think about that dynamic for a moment and how so many women are attracted to and take care of the 'bad boys'....
Jersey Shortie Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I thought this thread was suppose to be abount saying nice things about women, not critizing us. Even I said something nice on the guy thread. You guys are really putting a negative damper on this thread.

You can't say cooking, cleaning and making babies b/c I already covered that ~_^
Taramere Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 haha not only that but our thread has devolved into only saying good things about our mother(s). If you remove lust for youthful female beauty from the equation, the greatest praise is reserved for women who can tolerate contempt, aggression and criticism with some level of good humour....and without making an annoying noise about the effort it sometimes takes to do that. It's a skill mothers often excel in.
Author Die Hard Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 I thought this thread was suppose to be abount saying nice things about women, not critizing us. Even I said something nice on the guy thread. You guys are really putting a negative damper on this thread. Yeah I gotta agree. I'm asking that men leave their baggage out of this thread and only post things they love and or appreciate about women. We all love to take sides and boil things down to their lowest common denominator but please there are thousands of threads here for that. At the end of the day us men love and appreciate women and can't live without them so why not show a little apprecition without snide remarks?? Please??

You can't say cooking, cleaning and making babies b/c I already covered that ~_^ And would you please cut the crap about cooking and making babies. You're just trying to yank chains and this is not the thread. I'm starting to understand some of the resentment women have on this board. The ladies are doing much better job in their thread and I think that says a lot at this point.

You can't say cooking, cleaning and making babies b/c I already covered that ~_^ Wow. This is suppose to be about the opposite gender saying nice things about the other gender. Not the same gender saying nice things about themselves. If you can't think of anything beyond what you mentioned, I feel sorry for you.

For your benefit, in your thread, from now on I will encapsulate my jokes with a big [HUMOR][/HUMOR] tag so you don't get so easily offended. Apologies.

Well it must be a cold day in hell because I agree with shorty. If you cannot follow the thread topic then do not post.

Taramere Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 God bless them I was reading "Female Misogynist Pigs" recently. There was a big piece about this phenomenon of the "boi". The author described the boi as a butch lesbian who apes all the worst characteristics of a stereotypically sexist male.
bayouboi Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I love that look of pity they have on their face when they tell you they 'love you' but they're not 'in love with you'.
Author Die Hard Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 I got another: I love how you can tell a woman things you cannot tell your male friends as the males would call me a pussy and hand me a beer, whereas women will just listen. The art of listening is highly underrated.

Leia Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 This thread was sweet until a few screwed it up... As always.
Author Die Hard Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 haha, okay you win, you've officially chased me out of this thread. Not trying to chase you out, just trying to keep it on topic. You need women just like the rest of us and you know damn well it goes beyond looks, cooking and making babies. Companionship means quite a lot you know. The kind of companionship you cannot obtain with a guy.

carhill Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 IME, women like to resolve problems to everyone's satisfaction, even if compromise on their part is involved. The willingness to work towards resolution is a positive, IMO.
