Occasionally i'm finding myself in great situations (socially)

in the music scene but with a loss for words. Like, i'm talking

or working with people who are cool, but I start running out

of things to say or worry about how to act, worrying if i'm

coming off as "boring" and "Will i Get Hired Again" because i'm

not Big and Boisterous and Outgoing!

I have the talent, I have the ideas, i'm great to work with, I'm

just not good at SELLING MYSELF or being MR. HANDSHAKES in

situations where i've met some really cool connected people.

I good at getting my foot in the door, but not so good at staying

in the room once i'm thru the door of opportunity.

well in these situation are you being true to yourself and not trying to act like you are something you aren't?

IMO- 'coolness' is having the guts to be yourself and do what you think is the right thing and what you are comfortable with.

GJ- how do you define "cool"?

Not like Fonzie cool. I guess i more mean there are guys i see

in the scene that do the same thing as I, but they seem more

well-liked by others maybe because they are really outgoing and

funny or clever, etc.

I by nature and funny, a little outgoing, but not Mr. Rock And Roll

Drink and Smoke. I'm ALWAYS myself in these situations, but

i wonder if I need to be a little MORE outgoing to get the gig
