I've known him for over a year..

We've been "exclusively" dating for 2 weeks..

I'm not sure whats going on, because I havent talked to him since Friday. He broke our date friday night, and hasnt called or texted since.

We were spending a lot of time together, and have been in a couple arguments over the last couple of weeks, but this whole ignoring me thing has come a complete surprise.

Im not sure what to do.

I want to call him and ask him whats up.. but if he feels smothered I dont want to bother him..

I'm totally confused, because I dont even know if we are together at this point..

Im 23, hes 38. Hes never been married and has pretty bad track record (he owns a nightclub). It seems like I should just already know whats going on because of his history, but I am convinced that our situation is different...

Any ideas?

Its generally a pretty bad sign to be having arguments in your first two weeks of exclusivity. Usually, at least the first few months should go as close to smoothly as possible. Remember, its always a sign of things to come.

The best way to predict future behavior is by examining past behavior. I just dont have any idea why some women feel like anything is going to be any different with a guy who is 38 and has a bad track record. People dont change if they dont want to, and at that age, hes pretty set in his ways.

You deserve much better.

Uh. Go find a hobby and quit looking at your phone. This guy isn't worth your time. 2 weeks and he's already pulling away if he hasn't completely left by ignoring you already.

Already arguing at 2 weeks? Question - who initiates the majority of the arguments? What have they been about?

 No, don't call him.

I am convinced that our situation is different...

*sigh* Aren't all women? (I'm a woman...don't think I'm some kind of male misogynist. Unfortunately, this "but OUR situation is different" seems to be a female disease. I've suffered it myself.)

Just let him go. If he DOES call or text, I'd listen to what he has to say, but with a grain of salt. Because if he DOES come crawling back, most likely it'll be with some lame excuse and cutesy words.

He's probably dating 2 other women. When he can have his pick of the litter, he wont settle for someone he's arguing with in the first 2 weeks.

It doesn't sound like he cares too much about you. I hope for your sake you want someone who cares a great deal about you and wants to make you happy. He doesn't fit that description.

Sorry to hear about this.

A few things stuck out at me.

He's a club owner. Many of these guys are in the scene and surrounded by younger girls. A lot of girls like to hang around these guys (VIP, drink tickets, etc etc). Most club owners I've known stay in the party scene way longer than they should.

As Boogie said, more than likely he has a few girls hanging around.

He's already distancing himself. Not a good sign.

HOnestly, I don't see this turning out well if you stick around.
