t0ri Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 How do you know when you're ready to date again? I'm not 100% over my ex, but I'm getting there. I long for a companion, since suddenly going without one after 2.5 years, but I'm unsure if I want to even deal with dating at the moment. I've been meeting guys, and a few are pursuing me. One told me tonight to be straight with him and let him know if I'm not ready to share my heart again and he'll stop pursuing me. This guy is really great, but lives a few hours away. When he said that to me, I really had no idea what to say, because I somehow don't know how I feel about that. I don't want to regret not giving him a chance later, but I don't know if I could do that. I'm honestly scared to date again - of every aspect of it! Anyway, do you just simply know when you're ready?
whichwayisup Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 You'll know when you're ready..If the guy lives 3 hours away, you'll MAKE time and effort to be with him if you really are ready and into him.. Pace yourself and just take it slow. Enjoy flirting while out and about, then go from there. Timing is everthing, so when you least expect it, a wonderful guy will catch your attention.

IMO you should have some time to yourself after getting over your ex before you start getting involved with guys again. Have some "me" time first.
