So, I broke NC after 2 months, so dumb of me

I was doing pretty good with NC, didn't respond to her when she txted me after she dumped me, and I was moving on. Yesterday at work, the subject of booty calls came up and alot of dudes on my truck mentioned how they hit up their ex's on lonely nights with success. I just moved into a new place and I was feeling kind of lonely, so I said what the heck, and shot my ex a few txts, mostly "hey what's up" type of stuff and tried to be friendly and not get my hopes up about anything. It went nowhere, got a bunch of one-word responses and then nothing.

 

That night, all my old feelings resurfaced and I just kept having this gnawing feeling in my stomach that woke me up many times and all I could think about was calling her, but I stopped myself. Had a weird dream about her too, where she came to visit me at my house, we go out downtown on the bus, and the whole time she tries to avoid me and go off somewhere alone when I'm not looking.

 

I shouldn't have ****ed with Pandora's box. I thought I could handle it but I'm pretty much back to week 1 now .

Yeah dude, just leave it be. talking/texting rehashes a lot of feelings that your trying to get rid of. i had a night of talking to my ex's sister and her saying how the family misses me and how she was sad i couldnt be around for her graduation and her lil cuz's first day of school ect. it sucks, but sometime in the future those feelings will be with someone else.

Yeah I guess, but I never hinted at that to her. Ideally, dating again would be nice, I just didn't want to get my hopes up too high to begin with .
