When did you first say "I love you"?

Just a question that I'd like to throw out to the crowd.......when was the first time that you said "I love you" to your significant other? How far along into the relationship? I'm also curious as to whether more males or females make that first statement.

I'm not a believer in a time table. I don't believe that somebody becomes my "girlfriend" after X amount of months, and I don't believe that I have to wait X amount of months to say "I love you". I know when I know, and when it feels right, that's when I tend to say it. I've been with a girl now for almost 1.5 months -- not THAT long, but it's developed very quickly.......she's traveling with me to my parent's place for Thanksgiving, we're spending Christmas together, we're making plans to visit her family after New Years on the other side of the country, etc. And I must say, I am definitely falling in love with her -- probably faster than I've fallen in love with any girl before. I'm just curious as to how long it took others to feel that certainty of being in love, and how long it took to actually say it.

We were together a little over 2 months. I didn't quite come out and say "I love you" but I did tell him that I told his sister that I'm in love with him.

He however, did not say it to me until about 6 weeks later.

My boyfriend said it to me first at one month and I said it back to him a month later, at 2 months.

My fiance told me he loved me after about a month or so. I remember it perfectly, it was so sweet! I said it right back! Some with say that you can't love someone after that short amount of time but I disagree. There shouldn't be any timeline, you should go with what is in your heart. If you believe you are in love with her then GO FOR IT!!! :)

I say it when I feel it. I'm not one to go by any stupid dating "rules". For me it's been a case of me blurting it out without worrying constantly if I should say it or not, just an automatic thing.

Mmm. I think he said it to me about 2 months in.

I said it back about two months later..I move at a snails pace I guess.

A week after we met. He said it right back.

It was our third date.

He said it first almost 3 months into our relationship. I said it right back, and could have said it sooner actually.

Same thing for me. And I remember exactly when it happened.

I never said those words in life.

3 girls told me they love me.

The last one to tell me, was about 8 months.

I told her I loved her after about 15 months.

She shook her head angry and appeared to be upset.

It turns out she was cheating on me. It took about 18 months to truly move on from that one.

It does not make me sad anymore, more like "that was the past", you live and learn but for a long time I despised her. I never heard back from her after the break.

I checked her FB page, she put back old photo's of us and tagged herself.

Her status says "In a relationship"

I checked her boyfriends page, it said "In a relationship" but 4 months later it says "Single" and the dude cut her picture from his profile.

Thats the most I know about her now. A few days later I had a dream in which she was there, I remember saying to her "Its been 2 years, things can't be like they were before"

That dream was odd, not sure why I had it. I have not dreamed about her in a good 14 months.

In the end, I moved on, slowly but surely.

Not compared to me! I say it when I feel it pretty much, but I've never said it before 6 months...I don't think a guy I've dated has ever told me after a month or two either. If he did I'd be scared :o
