th0997 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 and I'm really into her, too. Sometimes I can't spend as much time as I like with her, but my friend watches her for me. Yeah. I'm kind of on the fence about her and my friend spending so much time together but regardless. What are some things I can do or say to her to let her know that she's important to me, and I don't want to take her for granted. She always makes time for me with my schedule. She's always been understanding from the very beginning. I like that.
Lish Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I don't really understand? I mean, we can't advise you on how to let her know how you feel if we don't know what stage of your relationship you're at... are you dating? exclusive? months? years? Some things aren't appropriate for certain stages of a relationship, right dreamergrl? (just kidding)
Author th0997 Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 Yes. My friend is watching her. It seems harmless. Who knows. She's very likable, and if she were to dump me for him, I wouldn't blame her. We're exclusive. Dated for 1/2 year. I'm new. Dated often but have never been in a relationship. So I don't know what to do. Want to do the best I can for her. I've been feeling guilty, b/c I haven't had much time to spend with her. I'm in grad. school + work.
lupa Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Anyone else a little creeped out about the "watching" part?
dreamergrl Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Anyone else a little creeped out about the "watching" part? My first thoughts exactly.
DustySaltus Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Friends are for watching your car, not your woman. This is a recipe for disaster.
BCCA Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Friends are for watching your car, not your woman. This is a recipe for disaster. I dont get what the OP means by 'watching her'. Is she like a toddler, or disabled?
dreamergrl Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I dont get what the OP means by 'watching her'. Is she like a toddler, or disabled? I think OP means, because he's so busy with work, his friend is 'watching her' as in spending time with her so she doesn't go astray while OP is working
Author th0997 Posted September 16, 2009 Author Posted September 16, 2009 agh haha. oh man. ok now. disregard the friend part. what needs to be done so a girl doesn't feel neglected while you're busy?
EricaH329 Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I think OP means, because he's so busy with work, his friend is 'watching her' as in spending time with her so she doesn't go astray while OP is working That still doesn't seem right though. If I ever found out that my boyfriend was having his friend 'watch' over me in any sense of the word, i'd be freaked out.
Lish Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Yeah, surely that's just insecurity and lack of trust if someone needs to watch her?
