And the man who claims to understand reality, we should believe him why?

I don't profess to know everything. But I do know when people DON'T have the right strategy.

For example if I walked past a blackjack table and saw someone hit on a 20, I'll think that guy is a fool. Now I am not going to say I can beat the house, but at least I know when people are being delusional.

To bayouboi: The negative comments come because dreamers hate realists that crush their dreams.

I am definitely a realist. Dreamers call us pessimists ;)

 Your assertion that you know other people and what they should do is laughable at best. Suppose that in the grand scheme of things, it was necessary that the man should hit on 20, because in doing that he realized he had a gambling problem and he stopped, or by losing his money at that time saved him from getting in a car accident and killing someone on the way home. Or in the next card for the player next to him, he hit blackjack, and with that money he spent it on flowers for his wife who was dying of cancer.

So then, how much do you really know about the strategies others should take?

 See, that's what I call a good dream.

Sorry Hkizzle I can't add anything to the debate because I agree with your original post.

Interestingly enough I had a history quite like yours and inevitably reached the same conclusion - stay out of relationships and serious dating until I was ready for something more substantial.

I'll also echo Torrence's statements about settling. Part of the reason relationships don't work out is because one or both of the people are settling and that doesn't lead to long term happiness or effort needed to sustain a relationship.

Also the need to be with someone instead of the right one prevails as well.

In those cases many of the "required to be my partner" list goes out the window and excuses are made instead of why one should choose that person instead of a really clear examination of why that person should not be chosen.

Eye on the prize, sweetheart, he's talking about the right strategy to win that hand of blackjack not the random happenstances and consequences of decision making in life.

 Is it a better price to win the money, or to stop while you are ahead? Which one is the prize? A game of chance, much like life it could be! Who are you or him to say that you know better than the person? Come on, take the bait little girl!

Nah, I'm from the UK but currently live in Hong Kong. A few years back I used to play internet games with a bunch of guys from the states, and I was the only guy from Asia on the team. So they called me HK, which became Hkizzle.
