jungle1 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 hi peeps, i recently broke up with my girlfriend about 3 weeks ago. she said she wanted space and time to think about what she wants in life. of course hearing all this put me in a great deal of shock, especially as we were together for 4 years. anyway i found the 1st week tough, but it still hadnt really sunk in, then towards the end of the 2nd week i broke down emotionally for a few days, now i am fine (miss her still) and i havent spoke to her for just over a week. she has now emailed me saying she 'would like to drop my stuff round and would like to see me' (only i cant think of what stuff she has of mine apart from a CD. and if its all the stuff that i have bought her over the years then i will be truely mad and upset! i hope this isnt the senario). so can anyone help me figure out what this girl is doing to me and what should i do? meet her? let her sweat? stay no contact?
logitech Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Every situation is different and it would be difficult to say what you should do. My situation was quite similar to yours in that she said she needs space/time etc. I am aobut 5 weeks out of mine with varying levels of contact over that time. I can't say the current situtation is ideal so I guess I sit in a space of what not to do. If you truly think that things are over and you don't want it to go on, NC would be the way to go. If you feel as though she might have some things to say it would be worth meeting to see what she has to say if you can handle it. Just make sure you take it easy, let her say her piece and keep cool about it and accept it.
