AAlike Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Personally, I smoke EXCLUSIVELY when I drink and have done so for the past 10 or so years (since I finished college). I have never smoked during work hours, in my house, in my car, while eating, in the morning, etc. etc...and in fact, the taste and smell of cigarettes is generally repulsive to me when I'm unimpaired. it is simply something that I enjoy as a condiment to other vices, oddly enough. my smoking is pretty much relegated only to bars, parties and casinos and averages out to maybe half a pack a week (probably go out sans GF two or three nights a week and smoke on average three cigs during those times). in all honesty, if my not-so-fair city would institute a full on smoking ban instead of the "only if you sell food" smoking ban, I'd probably quit altogether, as I don't enjoy it if I can't have a beer while doing it. my GF would never date me if I smoked in non-bar situations, and oddly enough, I don't think that I would be able to date someone that always smoked either. it'd be like dating someone that always smelled like booze...that's totally fine when we're at the bar, but not 24/7.
Mahatma Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Alpha - For the most part, you seem to be a fair minded smoker. However the whole "club" thing LMAO. My friend started smoking because of this. If you smoke and meet another smoker, you are friends almost instantly. Then my friend started smoking pot and making friends that way. Then he did ex, snorted crack, ...and the hill goes further down. That ideology is so insane. Clearly you smoke for other reasons, but I see a lot of people who claim to smoke "socially." F*cking stupid... I have friends that are smokers, and usually they are more laid back and less up tight. I like that. I just stay away from them when they are puffin.

Pyro Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 well what about all those fat people coming out of mcdonalds with calves like tree stumps. do you look at them funny and think how they will eventually be a "net drag" on the economy even though they are eating everything in sight (which they have to pay for BTW) Says the guy who eats BK and Chinese takeout just about everyday. I find that amusing that you relate "coolness" with smoking.

Never thought that way about smokers though
