dazedandconfused Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 My boyfriend on and off for a long time but steady for 1 and a half years broke it off before summer saying "we needed to take a break" but he swore to me that "this wasn't the end of us." we became best friends and spent so much time together- we really loved eachother. i was his first and he was mine. we stopped talking this summer- and now that school's started, we began talking and it quickly ceased. when things were acutally looking up, out of the blue he started dating a girl that looks and acts ALOT like me. some friends say they think hes using her to make it look like hes' over me... he's such a jerk to me. when we dated he was the best man i had ever known. i know deep down he cares for me, because if he didn't, he wouldn't be such an ass to me! i've done nothing to him! i miss him SO much.. and everyone says someday he'll come back. why is he doing this to me?

Men may move on to next girl thinking if they focus their attention on to one girl then they'll forget about the ex. Women are much more open about their grieving of a relationship and dwell on the past. Him being with another girl may be his way of dealing with your breakup. I would't really take it personal, and I wouldn't be worrying about him, worry about you! Goodluck...
UCFKevin Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 Psssh. In my situation, it was the exact OPPOSITE. I couldn't let go but she moved on perfectly fine, seeming not to give a single damn about hurting me.
