Heels, all day, every day. :) They make me happy.

Posted

I wear heels because they make jeans/skirts/ everything look awesome!

I wear heels because I feel good in them.

And while I have basic flats/ballets/sandles/etc, MOST of the cuter shoes and designers, opt for a little height.

And I like the click clack sound. :)

Good call, that's my favorite part!

I think you're thinking about this too much.

I work in an office that is 98%. The large majority of us have boyfriends that we adore and are faithful to, and yet we wear heels.

It's like another poster said, women dress for women. I wear heels almost every day to work but I only have eyes for my boyfriend.

There's something about them that makes you feel good and therefore more confident and powerful in a working environment. It's a status thing for me.

I've never understood why women say they dress for other women. My GF's and I definitely dress for men. And we help each other look as good as we can whenever we go out. It's a team effort.:D

As far as work, it's a delicate balancing act. You want to look "together" and professional but definitely with an understated sexiness (i.e., I still want to look like a WOMAN). After all, it is still a man's world out there.

And if you pull it off (the right look), both men AND women treat you with a lot more respect and cooperation than if you didn't try, or looked cheap/loose or whatever.

So I guess this is the answer to my question about why women say they dress for other women... because of this respect factor???

So, the heels... I don't think it's the height of the heel that matters. It all depends on the make of the shoe (well-made, high-quality materials such as leather, stylish) and how well it fits your body type and outfit, as to what kind of message you're sending.

If the shoe fits, wear it, I always say!! :D

there is actually a yearly marathon where women run in high heels, or is that men? i can't remember

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I guess I am the minority as I HATE heels. The most I will wear is like an inch. They hurt my feet like crazy and I hate how tall they make me feel. I am one of those crazy people who LIKE being short. I would probably look skinnier in more of a heel but I like more comfort. I could probably wear as much heel as I want, as I am only 5'2 and my fiance is 5'11, but I like being a lot shorter than him. He likes short girls too so he doesn't like huge heels on me.

High Heels can make you look taller and it also help you to stand better. But still I prefer flat shoes because it is more comfortable.
