Seriously I'm pissed at that damn company Do you just have a private insurance policy, not one from work? 50 dollars for verizon is alot I pay 50 but I have text and phone insurance(which is a waste and I'll drop), if you don't text maybe look at a prepaid plan.

And yes I do have private insurance policy... its a nightmare literaly
nobody's girl Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I have a prepaid cell phone and I love it. Granted, I don't use it a whole lot to begin with, so that helps. The phone was $50 and the plan is 10 cents a minute for calls and 25 cents for each text. I have to put $20 into my account every 90 days to keep the service active. I generally average $20-$25 a month in usage, so it's easy to keep the phone activated. I'm not sure if you can transfer your phone number to a prepaid phone or not, so you might have to get a new number if you go with prepaid. But overall, I highly recommend it.
Author Green Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 I don't know if your prepaid plan would save me money. I do txt and make calls so I could posibly end up spending more money.
Tayla Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Odd as it sounds, one can even survive without cell phone entirely. Its moved from a luxury item to a necessity. Why ? I've yet to see someone DIE from not being able to text. Now food, water, a roof over your head need to maintain the priority. I think prepaid with skimming back on even texting will be a financial alternative that saves . Ive also seen folks use the friends package. Where they share the minutes and save. As an adult its your decision what you constitute a necessity verses a luxury.
