Curious-One Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I read online that if a girl is constantly adjusting her hair or playing with it when she is around you that she might be interested. In one of my classes i came in talking on the phone and there was two girls sitting, one to my left and one to my right, my seat was empty so i didnt think much of it , put my bookbag by the chair and walk out to continue talkin on the phone. When i came in the girl that usually sits next to me sat one row in the front. I was kinda bummed because i usually talk to her since we have two classes together. As soon as i came, class was starting so i couldnt talk to the girls sitting next to me. I usually find something to talk about to people sitting next to me, i hate people who just sit there and dont talk to each othere. After a while the girls constantsly started touching their hair. When i say constantly i mean they put their hair to the right to the left, twirl their finger around the hair etc. The girl to the left even put some lipstick on which i also heard is a sign of interest. The class is like 2.5 hrs and they were constantly doing it.. I mean one girl is playing with her hair to my right and the other one is to my left and the front one is doing it also. Needless to say i noticed it right away and kinda freaked out. Shurely all these girls cant be interested ... I looked at other girls sitting far away and they barely if ever touched their hair. Honestly, i didnt learn anything the whole class because i was trying to figure out wtf is going on. Next class i have one girl sitting next to me and she was doing the same thing only not as much as the previous girls. She would put her hair to the left, than put her hair to the right look my way a bit etc. I talk to this girl all the time before class so i dont know. I always assumed that if a girl is playing with her hair when talking to me , it was sign of interest. This was too much though 3 girls doing at the same time ?? I already got 4 different numbers this semester so i dont even know if i should make a move on these girls.

Funny you bring this up though. I was talking to my friend's younger sis who's 20 and she was playing with her hair, licking her lips, and touching my chest the other night. I told my friend this and she started fake vomiting. But yeah, knowing body language is a good skill.

But yeah, knowing body language is a good skill. Thats what i thought too .... but i swear to god i spent like one hr trying to catch another girl sitting somewhere else playing with her hair and i couldn't find one. I didnt learn anything today in 2.5 hrs trying to figure out whats going on. I got 4 numbers so far in college and i might be trying to get some more from these girls. Next class i will be there early and will not be talking on the phone. If they sit next to me i will talk to them and see whats up. I am single right now and looking for a good gf and although i dont know anything about these girl's personality they do look pretty good.
Hkizzle Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 hmm well im a girl. we girls are more complicated than we seem. i flip my hair in front of the janitor, sushi chef, and garbage can but im not interested in them. if shes leaning towards you and flipping her hair its cause she wants to give you a whif of her scent...girls love being noticed even by the janitor or guy selling tacos across the street. or could be that she had a new hair shampoo and is loving her hair texture or i could be completely wrong about it al lol goodluck. Err, you're not meant to notice your own body language, it's not a conscious deliberate action, it's subconciously given out. For example, lets reverse this. If a man is interested in a girl, he will start leaning towards her, stroke his tie, brush his shirt or jacket (preening behavior), brush or ruffle their own hair. Touch their ears, or the cheek with the back of their hand. Play with the button of their shirt, their glass, a pen or cigarette, anything round which resembles a nipple or breast. They will scan the body of the girl a lot more, which is obvious. All this, the guy won't even notice he's doing, but the girl can see if she understands body language.

I know I play with my hair a lot, i'm always fidgeting with it, especially when it's down(people have pointed it out to me too).. Anyway, my point is that it's kind of a habit and has nothing to do with me liking someone, lol, it's more or less absent-minded. So if they were just twirling there hair that's one thing, but if they were looking and smiling at you when they were doing it, or trying to talk to you thats different.

There's a lot of stuff on body language on the internet as well. Body language is not about a habit, there are behaviors normal human beings do without even realizing it as they feel different emotions.
