Hi everyone, so I have this guy on my friends list I use to like him alot

but we don't talk anymore however he has a friend (more like an acquaintance)

on his friends list that I think is cute & would like to add/get to know better

.. would that be creepy?

yes, and it comes off as desperate. No offense.

Meow - you don't know the guy you are wanting to befriend on FB. Yes, that is stalkerish and weird to just be like, "Hey, I saw you on so-and-so's page and thought you were cute...wanna be friends?" Or HOWEVER you would word it. It would sound weird regardless. EVEN if you delete the guy that you DO know.

I'd put this in the column of things just not quite lining up right and move on. There's really no normal way to go about this.

I somehow don't think that if the guy would mind if he's single, the OP gives her a poke or a message, and he finds that the OP is goodlooking. If the OP is a guy then maybe my reaction would be different.

If one of my 18 year old girl cousin's friends left me a message and I see that she's hot, I certainly won't see the stalker.

OP, do you ever see cute guys in the street and talk to them? If you met a friend of a friend at a party would you be so forward in making a move for them?

Facebook is not a substitute for real life. Regardless of whether it comes off as stalkerish or freaky, it's certainly pretty superficial.

It depends on his reason for being on Facebook in the first place. One of the reasons why I do not poke nor send a message to someone (we share a mutual friend with) I do not know is because maybe he has his profile up just for family and close friends. I know a lot of my friends do not entertain anyone else outside the 'circle'.

I meant wait to add him .. not put my life on hold

Yes, thank you, Pedigree. Meow, what's so great about this guy that you would "wait" for him? Or were you just kind of meaning in a backburner kind of way while you continue to look elsewhere?
