kaylee47 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I wanted to ask your opinion on whether you think being friends with an ex is good, or does it cause false hope thinking you will end up back together. Recently, me and my ex boyfriend talked again after about a month and a half of NC. He told me he wanted to be friends, and I agreed. I thought maybe seeing me would make him want to be with me again, etc. Dont get me wrong, I have a new boyfriend, but I would still always go for another chance with him. It's hard to just be friends with him though. At times, he talks about how he misses me and how he wishes i hadnt moved on, but at other times, he says hes happy now, etc. I don't know what to think. I wanted to be friends so maybe we could work things out, but he keeps giving me mixed signals and im not exactly sure what to think about what is going to happen in the future.

WOW that really unfair to the new BF... You shouldn't try to friend an Ex until your completely over them just as you should not being dating someone if your still hung up on the EX

You can't really be friends if one of you two have romantic intentions. I think you miss the old days yet have a BF now. I think you can be friends with the Ex after ditching all hopes.
