This is from the film "The Three Hundred" in which

At the Battle of Thermopylae, a small force of warriors, 300 Spartans, and 7000 other Greeks-who, later, on the last day, when the battle outcome was decided, retreated leaving only 700 Thespians with the 300 Spartans-led by King Leonidas of Sparta, resisted the much larger Persian forces, but were ultimately defeated. According to Herodotus, the Persians broke the Spartan phalanx after a Greek man called Ephialtes betrayed his country by telling the Persians of another pass around the mountains. After Thermopylae, Athens was captured and the Athenians and Spartans were driven back to their last line of defense at the Isthmus of Corinth and in the Saronic Gulf. The delay caused by the Spartans allowed Athens to be vacated.

For those of your currently going through this? Your strength is within yourself!

Hard to believe?

But true!

The answers you seek?

Are within yourself!

The solutions you seek?

Are within yourself!

Seek within and you will find yourself!

You need but to confront yourself and who and what you are!

And are about!

You need to but seek out the enemy ~ and recognize that the enemy is "I"!

When you point fingers?

You need to look at the the one your pointing at someone? You've got three pointing back at yourself?

The answers to the questions? The solutions to the problems?

They lay within?

"We have have meet the enemy ~ and S/He is I!"

Most of your need to quit beating yourselves up over "should have, could have, would have,.............................................

You did the best you could at the time, and gave your all that you knew at the time!

Had you known then what you know NOW?

The outcome may have been different!

So enough now!

Quit beating yourself up already!

There's pleanty of people just waiting outside your front door to do the job for you!

Just to see the 'look' on your face!

Dude, I would love to back you up but the true story behind this war was nothing like the movie 300. The movie was actually based off a comic book. The Persian army led by Xerxes was made up of free men that were paid for their services. The Spartans on the other hand were a slave run state and the speech the Spartan queen made in the movie was actually taken from a Athenian woman right before the Athenians burnt her alive(for some crime). The Persians were actually defeated at sea when they allowed(huge mistake) their navy to enter a small cove where they couldn't move and the Greek navy made up of smaller ships were able to sink them. On land they pretty much ran over most of Greece. But in the end Xerxes watching from the high ground witnessed his navy sink. He still secured his land empire for a period of time.

The Persians most famous naval commander was actually a female and her name was Artemis.

I am a big history fan and I hate it when movies re-write history for entertainment. Sorry if I hijacked your thread
