phimani Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I absolutely adore my boyfriend, I swear. He recently moved back to his parent's place, which sucks because it's a bit further from where he lived before, but I can deal with driving 25 minutes to see him once a week. It's just, the rest of the time, I get no affection from him whatsoever. It's like he doesn't really care. He's not overly affectionate when I'm with him, but that's fine. So, when I go out clubbing with my friends, I occasionally kiss other guys. I never get involved with them or go any further, I couldn't. But because I've done this, it makes me paranoid that he's cheated on me. There's this one girl who lives relatively close to him, and she's (as far as I'm concerned) 'unfinished business'. They had a thing a while ago, but it fell apart. They're still friends and the other night he went to a party she was at. He text me like 'Charlotte's all mad at me cos I threw her in the pool.' Has anyone else ever cheated, and noticed that the next day, you somehow drop that person's name to your other half, as a sort of defence thing in case you are accused? I seem to do it all the time, and alarm bells sort of rang. Am I just paranoid because I've cheated on him? This is driving me mad.
corwin Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 This is common. Most cheaters project their guilt onto their significant others and accuse them of doing the cheating. It's sad really. I think you owe it to yourself and your boyfriend to break up with him. He doesn't deserve what you're doing behind his back. I recommend this because based on what you posted, you don't sound remorseful and you don't sound like you have any intentions on stopping your "occasional kiss with other guys".
samsungxoxo Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I think that you should just leave it like that, learn from this and simply not do it again. Afterall it's not like you slept with them....
Untouchable_Fire Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Am I just paranoid because I've cheated on him? This is driving me mad. I think you would see more evidence of it than that if he was cheating on you. Your driving yourself nuts by doing this kind of stuff. Your just projecting your guilt onto him.
