So, could I just reply to the messages from her that demonstrate more interest and ignore the others to escape the "friend zone"? Or can I flat out ask her if she would talk about getting back together? I see that as straight forward and leaving it up to her to agree or not. Bad idea? Otherwise, my proposed email is: "Thanks for your email. It's been fun lately but it's not enough for me. So, I'm not angry but I need some space for a while. I wish you the best and thank you for understanding."
Author robynp Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 So my situation has again taken an interesting turn. As I admitted, I contacted the ex yesterday on day 5 of nc. Last night we talked on the phone until 2:30 in the morning! We both apologized for everything and discussed the issues. Told me he still loved me. Also said he noticed he hadn't seen me online and planned to contact me last night had he not heard from me. The other interesting thing he said was basically how surprised he was that I didn't seem devastated, he then said that was his ego lol. So, apparently, this nc seems to have worked a little! Anyway, he asked me to get dinner with him, which I said I would. Thoughts???
