dreamergrl Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 So I've got a date for tonight. He asked me what I wanted to do, and I said to surprise me. So he figured something out, and gave me a hint... It has games, a bar, and a theater. Maybe I'm brain dead today... what has those three things?

I think they also have a video game arcade.

Dave and Busters? ???
Author dreamergrl Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 A strip club? I hope not No Wait... a Casino? I was thinking of this. When we were discussing plans, he said he refuses to let me pay... would a guy really pay for a girl to go to the casino though? Uh... Dave and Busters? ??? What's Dave and Busters?
tanbark813 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 What's Dave and Busters? It's an arcade for adults with a bar inside. I don't think they have a theater though but I could be wrong.

alphamale Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 It has games, a bar, and a theater. Maybe I'm brain dead today... what has those three things? his bedroom
Untouchable_Fire Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I hope not But wouldn't make him the exciting type of guy? I was thinking of this. When we were discussing plans, he said he refuses to let me pay... would a guy really pay for a girl to go to the casino though? Heck Yeah! I did that once. It turned out great. Imagine riding a hotstreak on the first date! What's Dave and Busters? I've never been to one, but I've heard about it. It's like Chuck E Cheese with beer.
Author dreamergrl Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Hmmm, his house? his bedroom Funny guys :lmao: If he's got a theater in his house... or bedroom... nevermind.. I'm not gonna say it. But wouldn't make him the exciting type of guy? I'll pass on the ass and titties And if it's a male strip club, I'm going to be weirded out. Heck Yeah! I did that once. It turned out great. Imagine riding a hotstreak on the first date! I love casinos. I'm excited that I live closer to Vegas now. But I'd never guess a guy would pay for a girl to gamble on a first date. I've never been to one, but I've heard about it. It's like Chuck E Cheese with beer. I could win prizes!
Author dreamergrl Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 It was Dave and Busters. And I had a blast! Def one of the best dates I've had since I moved here :bunny::bunny::bunny: I've never been to anything like this before. I love how he picked something new out for me. It wasn't just the usual bar and grill I get taken to. Shows thought We also had coffee pre Dave and Busters, and we had post Dave and Busters food. A complete gentleman. If I went to go open a door, he'd run up and grab it for me. He wouldn't let me pay for anything. He made great conversation. I got a very warm hug goodbye, and he text me to say lets do it again soon. Awesome date! :):):)

Is this the same guy from the other thread?
Author dreamergrl Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Where did you meet this guy? Online dating :) Aaawww Dreamer, you had a great time - good to know! He sounds like a keeper. Is this the same guy from the other thread? Nope. This is a different guy. We played almost every game. Air hockey was fun! We did one of those photo booth thingies. I could have had dinner there but I wasn't hungry. He does have two kids. And I found out that he's only been single for two weeks.

Author dreamergrl Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 That means move slow. I was a little shocked he's already dating, to be honest. But yeah, I will def be moving slow.
Untouchable_Fire Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I was a little shocked he's already dating, to be honest. But yeah, I will def be moving slow. You know how much it sucks to be a rebound. The guy probably needs to rebuild his confidence... get back in the game so to speak. Also... he may go running back to the ex at any point. It's complicated... but that's life. If I was in your shoes, I would not take him serious for a long time (6mo), and continue to openly date other people.
Author dreamergrl Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Well, he's only been single, as in divorced for two weeks? He was in another long-term relationship and he's been single for two weeks? He was dating someone very shortly and has been single for two weeks? There's a lot of variables that would, or would not, create a red flag in dating someone that's been single for two weeks. Not married, as far as I know. He was in an off and on again relationship. That part has me a little skeptical if he's relationship material. He said his ex never knew what she wanted. Oh and only one of the kids is his, but the other he treats like his kid.

I'm glad I'm doing much better at this whole dating thing, or this would be a sticky situation for me

I'm glad you had a good time but oh so many red flags. You know that obviously.
Author dreamergrl Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Yikes! I'm glad you had a good time but oh so many red flags. You know that obviously. It's way too early to analyze him on the merits of a relationship. Just have a good time and try not to think too much. I'll go out with him again, but I'm not going to put stock into anything. It's not as if I'm looking to settle down at this moment anyways!
